at the moment i'm running the bluebeard total mudbutt settings and the DS-1 (i am hoping to replace it with a Cthulhu, lord dunwich permitting) with nearly max tone for the highs. neck pickup and treble pickup respectively. i am running it through the same two channel amp currently, however when sent to two different amps/cabs it sounds even better.

to my ears it sounds like my lows are heavy and thick while my high notes are articulate and sharp, just the way i like it

side note: my custom stereo preamp i have in the works (GT200 w/ mid shift + OR120) will further be able to 'segregate' the two tones using the FAC/mid shifts.

What's the mudbutt setting again?

I have the alphabass, and Demeter with power amp. Mb500 is for sale. I might sell the Demeter setup but wanna play with it more first.

Who was it that likes to repair pedals?
I've got a trashed RAT(90s?) I'll be happy to get rid of for shipping cost. The case is missing like all its screws and the nuts that hold the 1/4 sockets to the case.
Might be a fast repair if you've got the stuff on hand. Should work otherwise.
I've got too many projects right now, some stuff has to go.

Lm308 or regular new chippy?

So my best friends sister just contacted me and wanted to know some stuff about him. They had a little bit if a fallout and hadn't spoke to each other in a long time, just like I moved and I hadn't spoke with him. She was asking about all the inside jokes we had together. Man, losing your best fvcking friend is really hard. It just feels so surreal. He passed away about 4 weeks before he was going to travel to and stay at my house for the week. I miss him tremendously. PSA, please do your friends a favor, don't take drugs that have the ability to instantly kill you. His addiction was something that only his parents and junkie friends knew about. I'm not sure if I could have helped him, but I damn sure would have tried.

What's the mudbutt setting again?

main amp is a 200w head, 4x KT88s - it's a VBL (vocals bass lead) head with two separate channels. it blends the signals together pretty nicely, but if i run the treble signal through my 100w VBL (2x KT88s) separately it is astoundingly good.. and loud.

this was the best rig so far - 200 on top, 100 on bottom. the 412 is unfortunately my guitarist's, i need one of my own!

bluebeard mudbutt for this rig is level to unity, tone (not bypassed) and sustain at below 9 o'clock for maximum low end. the DS-1 is the opposite, distortion dimed, level to unity and tone between 12 and 3 oclock.

Got my $8.00 chorus pedal today - it was sold as 'untested' - works fine and actually sounds decent.

Plugged in my amp and played a bit today, things are sounding off. Not sure if it's just the room or if I'm not digging my strings that much any more or what. Getting a lot of harsh mid range honking and there's high end that I can't seem to eq out.

Not sure what's going on, but i guess I'll let it sit for a bit and think about it.

stereo TRS jack with two monos at the other end to plug into your pedals. i have a mute/tuner out box made specifically for the purpose, otherwise it can be very difficult to cut off your signal when tuning or when you want to stop feeding back.

Depends on my mood. I haven't run dual heads in a while due to the 2000s being here on the West Coast and the 1200s being in Connecticut at school. It's nice running two heads though because I can EQ each pup differently, namely make the bridge pup sound less like weak ass. The Dagstar (and the P-bass, for that matter) never needs the bass knob on my Sunns above 2, but the jazz bridge pup always just sounds so meak, I need to experiment again soon with two heads, running one head treb/10, bass/2, contour/0 for Dag, 10 for P, and then spend time tweaking the other with the bridge pup to get a fatter tone. Or say to hell with it and just run the bridge pup through my fuzzface at all times.

I got my ric jack off of bass parts resource back when it was meant for a much more extreme parts bass that I destroyed with a mix of too much excitement, using the wrong tools and not knowing how to use the wrong tools.

Went to a dinner at a friends neighbors and they made awesome curried veggie pizza. Then we smoked their hookah on the back porch and these hobos showed up in the alley and put on an impromptu fireworks show for some reason. The hosts hated them for freaking out their dogs, but I liked the free upclose Unexpected artillery barrage.
