I used to have a pearl colored Sonex that I bought for $250 lol. It had a slight crack in the resin body, that someone had patched with epoxy or something. That thing was freakin heavy and had a neck like a baseball bat, but it did sound really good. The stock pickups were really hot, I used it for this Integrity style band I started when my old punk band broke up, but it broke up after one show. So I sold the guitar and the Mesa Dual Rec head I had at the time as well, since playing guitar is never my main thing. That was around 2008 I think. $500 is a decent price for one these days, if it's in good shape and has the original pickups. Though I'd play it first, they're kind of a love it or hate it guitar I think.

Resin body? Weird. Yea wasn't buying it, just wondered what was up with it.

Unless something totally curious and at a stupid price shows up I'm good on basses. I wouldn't mind trading the acoustic I was given towards a round neck reso guitar with piezo or other pickup.

My only real interests are a good 8 ohm head, and get the requisite cables, hardware, new pedals to make a new pedal board and this stereo setup going. This also means I get to buy a jig saw and work surface!

Cousin wants that acoustic amp, but if you guys or friends ever need or know someone who needs an acoustic amp, the 1990's fender sfx i acoustasonic amp is pretty cool.

I actually remembered you posting this before so I gave it a shot last night. Definitely retained a lot more low end, but I'm wanting to use the Rat for high-gain distortion so I think the blender might be the way to go for me. The Rat is really good at low gain settings, but so is the EHX OCD clone. So I think I'm going to stick with that for low gain, Rat for high gain.

We'll see once I get the blender built and rebuild the pedal board...
