Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

So what do you guys think a fair price would be for a simple blender pedal? - It'll have one Blend knob, in/out jacks, send/return jacks, footswitch, 9V boss-style power adapter in a 1590B case, possibly with some cool paint/artwork.

I've got the parts coming in to build a prototype. If that goes well I might build a few and put them up for sale. Just wanted to poll you guys and see what you'd be willing to pay for one.

EDIT: Responding to my question will not be taken as an "I would definitely buy one." pre-order. Just want the price range info.

I think I would see what the used mass produced blenders are going for in the classifieds here, then hit a price somewhat lower than that and see how they sell, if that still gives you some profit. Then build up the price from the there with popularity.

I actually never forgot that stuff when I was in a relationship. Of course, two days after Christmas is easier to remember than some random day in august.

There are two markets here. A yuppie one that is very expensive, and the hippy one. Sure you have to wash the dirt off your food at the hippy one, but it is cheap.

Also: Jesus goddamn Christ Sleep was something else. You're not listening to a concert, you're experiencing a fullbody sonic barrage. Incredible. They played part of Dopesmoker too, and Antarticans Thawed. When they started Dragonaut, the whole place went nucking futz.

"Secret Chiefs 3 were founded by guitarist/sazist Trey Spruance and are based out of the San Francisco Bay Area. Their music styles vary throughout their albums with their performance of surf rock, Persian, death metal, and other various styles - the only thing unifying the diverse range of styles they play is how precisely and accurately they play them.

Some of the members were also key members of Mr. Bungle. Admittedly, I'm not familiar with the rest of Trey's stuff, but Secret Chiefs 3 - this album especially - is incredibly good. I got this album as a promo when it was released in 2001 and it's been in regular rotation ever since. It's dense, difficult music but it's still ridiculously catchy, psychedelic and just all-around awesome.

I cooked my way through college, and ended up doing all the buying the last summer I was there. Learned a lot on how to save, and it doesnt hurt to know how to cook a lot with a little.


*Told the old lady who runs the place that her pierogie reminded me of my grandma, and she started crying and tries to kiss me on the cheek now every time I come in.

stoner/doom diet thread

i'm currently doing keto, eating is cheap and easy, i'll stick at it for a while. coconut oil + butter + cream coffee for breakfast, meats and cheese for lunch, some form of meat roast or meatloaf or chili with oily salad for dinner. dropped two jeans sizes in less than a month and i feel brilliant all day in the office thanks to my constant energy output. dairy is expensive in NZ which is the biggest downside, however costs have gone down a lot otherwise.

any diet where gorging on bacon is wholeheartedly recommended is a diet for me.

I CANT WAIT...to work at 5 am after going though that. Cause I was denied having off or even coming in late for an overtime day...I just dont understand how that works. Hoping that changes by wednesday though. It'll still be worth it though, MOTHAFVCKIN SLEEP!!!

Also on doom diets. Im on a fasting diet. 2 days of the week I fast, the rest eat normally but keep healthy in mind obviously. On the fasting days your allowed 600 calories if you're "dying of hunger". Here's the thing youre not actually gonna die if you don't eat two days of the week, youll just be really hungry. We've been programmed to eat 3 square meals every day, as hunter gathers way back when, we might not have eaten that regularly. We don't really need that much food. The days you fast your body gets scared into starting to eat the fat you carry because it thinks it starving. It's easy for me especially on practice days because I barley have time to eat anyway. So that's what I do. I do eat the 600 calories in small snacks or fruits though because I need something to get through my work day.

I've lost 10 pounds in a month

I'm trying to shed some weight as well. I calculated my calorie burning for the summer and it was something like 4000 a day, which is awesome, and I seriously tried to cut back my junk food, started calorie counting, jazz like that. It's starting to help, and now I'm back at school I'm going to actually use our gym, try to keep the trend up. It's not so much about losing weight as lowering the body fat to muscle ratio, cause I've been doughy at 175 and lean at 175 depending on the time of year and if I'm working. I'm working on eating more fruit, eggs, nuts, and leaner meat. And seriously reducing my milk intake (I don't know why, I just goddamn love milk.)

i'd recommend keto for dropping weight. i realised i accidentally did IF last week (intermittent fasting) and didn't even notice - caffeine and fat in the morning then no food for 12 hours. you kind of just don't get hungry - your body is burning your fat for energy instead of constantly bugging you to top up your glycogen stores with carbs.

Bass showed up.
It's not the one I bought though. The serial doesn't match the photos of what he had posted.
He posted "N******" this one is "S******" I know it's only a year difference. And I can't find his sale thread anymore. Arrgh.
It's still a 62ri, but maybe he has a bunch and took a picture of the nicest one he had...
I'm about to take the neck off and make sure it's actually a Fender. I'm all paranoid now.
