So this job still seems nice but I'm wary now, as I read about the agency that hired me out and apparently they make money by finding people jobs then taking a cut of their pay check via contract with the hiring party... So I should be paid 40-70 percent more than offered and it's kind of putting me off knowing I should be making a very decent pay and I'm going in for the work for like half pay.

Head hunting is common, and it isnt going away. It is also a foot in the door. Work your contract, see how you like it, and what connections you can make. It may turn in to something bigger down the line.

It's true, but the way they went about it sketches me out... I told the head hunter I needed the email of the actual guy who hired me, I kind of want to email him and say I'm still interested in the job but I rather go through the actual company hiring me rather than
lose out on a chunk of my check to a middle man.
I'm not hurting for money, I can pay my bills with my flipping and stuff so while the job is extra money, I'd rather find a job via my own devices. This came to me randomly, I haven't submitted my resume yet since graduating anywhere. They found me via the school.
I agree with Mr CL400 - work the contract, make some contacts and get experience. If it's related to your degree you're already doing better than a lot of college grads. Who you know is at least as important as what you know, if not more important.
@askrere Experience is always good. Use it as a resume-filler.
So the wife(just before she drifts off to sleep), mentions something vague about a 9/11 conspiracy video and "even though they are kooks, there's a solid point."
Now an hour later I've 5 tabs open sifting through stupid propaganda looking for plausible conspiracy theories.
The damn woman is meanwhile snoring her ass off.
I think I've been played and she's gonna be laughing at me tomorrow when I can't see straight.

Another crazy TB coincidence. The last show that I played, we played with Sea of Bones. Not two days before we played Sea of Bones was a brief topic of discussion. Skip to this post I read yesterday; I found out we are playing with Jucifer in November. Pumped.
Grass pollen is kicking my arse this summer and about the last 8 weeks or so ragweed added to the grass pollen. Worst part is the allergies are one of my migraine triggers. I scratched my eye trying to get all the pollen sleepers out Saturday morning, I had one red eye form allergies and the other all sore from being scratched and tearing up the whole day. I'm not an animal!...
I'm starting to wonder if I'm getting a cold, allergy medicine isn't doing poopie and now I think I'm running a fever. Was up all night sneezing and hacking and generally feeling like poopie. No PTO until it resets in a week so no time off for me. Got a busy day full of meetings, then an Algebra exam and 4 hours of class time. What a happy birthday it's turning out to be.
