I just hate his arrogant assumption that anyone seeking modern, durable drivers is just after a sort of "flavor of the week" thing.

That's not the reason I thought the OP wanted modern drivers, and it's not why I want them, either. I want to replace my 15Bs with 15PR400s not because they're trendy, but because the 15PR400s are a lot more "idiot-proof" for live gigging.

Yes! Not as much character as other bass heads. But it gets dirty and has tons of headroom.

Good to know, gonna mess with the pre amp a bit and determine if I'll use by its self or if I'll run a preamp through it, does it have slave out?

Same for me per post above. I know someone said they're stiffer than average, but the set I have specifically states low tension on the box.

BAM! Needs new strings and a real amp worship sesh before I really can say anything. But the metallic red looks cool like almost don't paint it cool...and it plays like a Matsumoku bass should.

Tried The Galactic Hatchet out at VEGA practice, Nothing can top a Ric for me in that band...anyway, sounds devastating, the pickups are super hot. The bridge sounds like a gnarly burly jazz bridge sound and the neck just levels things. The volume pot is a bit scratchy.

A lot of random googling and I found out my car can tow 1,500 pounds.

I then read a lot about gypsy vardo trailers. I am now curious if I could create a camping/travel space on a 3-5'x6.5-8' flatbed trailer. Then create a upcycled space out of materials on craigslist and haul them to my place on the trailer before I start building. Like a wood pallets, fence slats waterproof material what have you if I go more modern covered wagon approach. Room for sleeping 2, hopefully I could stand in it (6'1"). Carry water, dry storage food, a rocket stove. Candles etc, solar panel/battery maybe for phone charging. The question is could I make a sturdy yet livable space that wouldn't cause trouble for the car or void a warranty.

of course I have no clue how much a flatbed weighs or if that counts towards the towing weight in full or at all. 2013 corolla for those who have warnings, ideas, etc.

I drank many pots of coffee with my new maker.

Just returned from the Oakland Fox Theater. Evening with Ian Anderson was quasi un fulfilling. I can now cross off hearing a few Jethro Tull songs from Ian, but it wasn't Jethro Tull.
With the band is a younger backup singer that doubles Ian or full on takes the verses he can't seem to manage any more. It worked to a degree. Over all energy of the show was low.

Had some raised eyebrows from a few taking my daughter. She did ok, was pretty much out during the encore.
I'd venture to guess she was the youngest audience member tonight.
