Yeah, I shot her an email. By her videos and her ad, she's too good and too "having her sh*t together" as a musician not too. I keep getting suggested that I might be intimidating flakey local musicians with my intensity, so maybe someone shooting for a higher level is more my speed.

Dude, for as much trouble as you've had finding a drummer, why not at least try jamming? If you meet her and think she's too immature for you to get along, then at least you tried. If the only thing holding you back is her age, I don't see why you shouldn't at least give it a shot. You said yourself her posting sounded professional and mature.

Because I have mad internet skills I found her CL posting as well as the youtube videos. Saw the part where she's wearing boy shorts and a sports bra or whatever. Honestly who cares. I don't see that any different from a male drummer playing with his shirt off. Now if you think your wife will feel threatened now that's a completely different story, cause you gotta respect the wife, but if that's not an issue, I say go for it. Seems like she's got some pretty solid chops.

Yeah, I contacted her. My thoughts were what you just expressed. I've had too many problems finding people to put up any restraints for myself. If she's interested, she also plays guitar pretty well and seems really focused and motivated. So we could probably get an album written and recorded in short order, with minimal outside assistance. We'll see how it works out, she might not be interested in collaborating with ME.

Oh, I don't care about any of that honestly. I was just playing up my social anxiety to interface with someone who is 15 years younger than me. My wife wouldn't be threatened, our relationship isn't like that. I've tried out women for bands and tried out for female fronted bands in the past plenty of time with no issues. Plus I've never been a weird creep with women, that's just not my personality at all. I'm practical, if someone is a good musician I take them seriously.

Good practice tonight. Second song goes along pretty nicely, soon we'll have 25 minutes of music in two tracks :D

I was listening to some old demos I've recorded. For once in the last month I'm bored and have nothing to do at work, so I'm sharing.

Speaking of practice I had a good jam last night. I ended up buying a zoom IQ5 since it was locally available and I had a $20 off coupon in my email for GC. Used it last night and think it will do the trick. As someone said the zoom app isn't very user friendly and slightly hard to navigate. Also seems like the limit function on the mic adds a slight in and out swell (as it probably should as it limits) thats kind of annoying. Going to give it another shot at super loud metal practice Friday night. I could make out almost all the instruments so that's a plus. It's a glorified tool for idea catching anyway. If it's not distorted Friday I'll probably keep it. Also the guitarists in my rock band keep upgrading their rigs so the UNIVOX is now not cutting the cheese. I'm using it thru a peavey 410tx but doubt it's the cab. Bringing the svt to the next jam. Hopefully that does the trick. Still working on our collective sound.
