Surprised the guys showing up for practice at the new garage spot. Was going to skip it but will be a month till I play again. So double duty east bay trip picked up my heads ready to run and jammed.

Corey - I hope it works out with the drummer. Being a mature, respectful adult I'll say good luck and I'm glad that you found a musician that seems to be talented and focused. She'd be lucky to be in a band with you - she'd be treated like a fellow musician and nothing more or less.

Just got an email as for the Amazon echo, basically it's a Siri/cortana device for your house. Personally I detest whatever you'd call those. It's basically a voice activated "******" and now it comes in a $200 big box rather than a smart phone.
They always talk about in the future we'd have like digital interface implants. Google glasses being a step in that direction or a circumvention of it that functions vaguely similarly. I can't help but wonder if when that time comes, would school be made redundant? Aside from collegiate research, most knowledge is memory based, so if I had google in my head, everything's largely already there?

Were moving toward a fully connected society. This is just one more attempt for media streaming over the interweb. America is leaps and bounds ahead of most countries on service and expectations. Some developing country services are still based on the old telephony billing model. Makes it expensive for full time connectivity as we have it here in the states.
I just had a conversation with one of my old friends that do field work installing services for business. Soon will be the days we don't even setup a office and begin working at home if you don't need to touch gear.
I'm WFH 95% these days. It's a huge savings on fuel cost and time spent on the road. But I'm 1000% reliant on my ISP not to suck.
There will be a day when the expected turnaround time for response is 60 seconds. I'm close to that now but can put some items off for 24hours cause there is still an expectation of personal time and family.

Yeah I've tried several times too, even paid to go see em lol, just can't do it.
My vocalist is nowhere near that, I'd like to say lee is tone deaf and has a bad singing voice, my vocalist is the polar opposite
