Contemplating more fuzz. Grey Stache or TFR? Others also welcome. What say you, S/D brethren? Already have a Pharaoh, love it, but just getting GAS for no good reason. Like the Pharaoh for low end retention and just enough bite to cut (with my Gamma OD) and not interested in extreme fuzz. Warm with bite is my goal. Go! (And thanks!)

I use a RAT or OCD style pedal, with the gain set below noon and a little bright. That's the general tone I use in Mental Waste, which is all really fast stuff.

I recently nabbed a Yeti Metal or I'd've nabbed a Shred right now.

I'm a big fan of the Grey Stache, it's my favorite muff variant I've found. Can nail the classic muff sound, but the mid knob can add an awesome cut. Real thick and mean sounding. Mine also has diodes for silicon, LED, and 4001 clipping, I tend to prefer the silicon or 4001 depending on what bass I'm using.

I'm pretty sure ampegfuzz is also a big supporter of the Grey Stache.

My rat came with an OP07 instead of the LM308 - i like the original chip better for bass. The 308 kills on guitar, but i was a little underwhelmed when using it with bass.

Whatever the first chip was would scream, had tons of range.
The lm308 has very limited range and I can't make it feed back.

I have a ROAD 215. Paid $99 at GC it's a gig worthy cab... Super heavy, nothing special but it can handle volume.

Also just got a power wah boost in the mail, I hope I can check it out before we head to Philly for Stevie Wonder later. I want to lay out an essential board of verellen, pwb, Bluebeard, and ditto. Then keep my modulation on a mini board so I could patch them together or travel light if I choose.
