Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I have tested quite a few pedals out and decided el oso won my heart, also got to run a fuzzrocious demon through it and also decided that will be the next purchase

Sold my el oso but I bet it was my cab that made me hate it.

The box is even nicer looking now very jealous.

Ran it through a Ashdown something or another head into a ported 1x15 sounded killer, greystache was right there but the el oso sound waaaay deeper IMO

Looking forward to running through my rig, hopefully I don't regret it, although it's hard to make any pedal sound bad through a Bassman 300 pro

Contemplating more fuzz. Grey Stache or TFR? Others also welcome. What say you, S/D brethren? Already have a Pharaoh, love it, but just getting GAS for no good reason. Like the Pharaoh for low end retention and just enough bite to cut (with my Gamma OD) and not interested in extreme fuzz. Warm with bite is my goal. Go! (And thanks!)

The TFR will be more similar to the Pharaoh than the Grey Stache, so my choice would Grey Stache.

Next fun pedal will be a phaser of some sort.

It took me forever to find a Phaser. My favorite sounding phaser is the Moog but it is too big for my board. I still have the Moog but my go to is the Cusak tap-a-phase.

you can hear the cusak here.

So made it out to our boy @TurkeypillSLEEP show last night here in the Lou. Much happy grindage, and the man can play.

But so not my scene :)

Thanks for the kind words Patrick and thanks for making it out! Its awesome to be able to put faces to names/TB names. It would be cool to hang out and play with all of you guys! Also Jucifer melted my soul. It was great.

Thanks! The GS was on my list before the Pharaoh, but the GS lost the battle. Now, for different flavors of fuzz!

He isn't a Greenboy builder, and he is part of the reason Greenboy doesn't release free plans.

There are also enough cases of him delivering cabs outside of what was ordered, cabs that vibrate SVT's off, cabs that cook speakers/amps.

Well i already have a pair of kappalites and greenboy refuses to build empty boxes so I'm put into a spot where I'm looking for alternative, I didn't hear about these mishaps with his build though, it's certainly changing my mind.
