Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

So it turns out I turned my guitarist on to Abominable electronics and he's really interested in their pedals so he sent then a email and started bullshiting with the guy and realized that they use to be childhood friends and as a result he mailing us a custom hail satan(hail cannibas) for free and along with a don't Shred on me rat clone! shaging win, big win.

Also I'm breaking to my low C and my F waaaay to much on my peavey and my Hondo, and if it my playing, strings, or if both of my bridges have burrs either way I'm about to stock up hard.

Also demon king should be here by Friday!

What are you doing? Tuning a 5 string set up a step?

Do you use your E string much with the BW? I find it pretty much turns to mud unless I'm at least midway up the neck.

I generally do the octave up 5th setting. But even with the pedal back it sounds pretty good on the E string. I'll have to mess with that a bit more. It's just drums and bass right now. So I was trying to fill up the room. Not playing anything super fast.
But it does definitely sound better on the A,D, and G strings. I'm not playing anything very clean either. If it is muddy it's not bothering me right now.

Whoah! That rules dude! I've been eyeing that don't shred on me, but I'll be broke for the foreseeable future. You'll have to give them a thorough once over and let us know.

I use the 5th up / 6th up setting on one song. The bulk of it is just root/5th but occasional bend to 6th as an accent. Kinda cool. Very fun.
