Just shipped out my last extra piece of gear, the SFT. Actually sold on Reverb, so finally have a few sales on there. Well I listed two broken pedals for parts on ebay but that is my last functioning sale. Unless I find some flippers.
Nah, send him a PM. He is a decent dude, and has helped a number of other TBers on similar projects.
I would send one more message: "I can see that you've read my last message - since you haven't replied I can only assume that you won't be purchasing the item. It will be sold to someone else."
Couple of real pissers...
Figured out my body doesn't like Gruyere cheese no matter how much my taste buds do. More like, my body tries to turn itself inside out when I eat it.... I think its the particular cultures used in making it.
Also...just figured out my tweeter in my fender 810 is dead, and has been for quite a while probably. Its ok, I barely turn it on when I do, but crap.

Im not one to usually ask for advice OR loan gear but I have a unique situation. I have two friends who I will ever loan gear to. one is the guitarist in my band, and the other is a good friend who's a bassist whose band we play with a lot. I often let him share my rig or something like that when we play shows together or borrow amps to try. He's a working guy with not a lot of extra money. anyway he just lucked out and got picked up as the new bassist for karma to burn. we're playing a show with them in two weeks, which is his first show with them before they go on tour, and their first show in the states in a while. anyway my friend has one bass and he's a little concerned going out on tour with no backup. he's wondering if I would loan him a bass to take on tour as a backup and swears he'll be really careful with it. I would normally say "hell no", as I'm more attached to my instruments and their care then I am an amp or cabinet. theyre a lot more personal to me. BUT... I know he's scraping by just to come up with the money to be able to take off work and go on tour, and this is a really big deal for him.....so.... would you loan him your jazz bass that you love? Especially knowing what could happen to it going across the country and back...
If it matters, he's a good guy, and a good friend. He's MOSTLY responsible, but can be a little of a flaky slacker at times. (Who can't, right?) I know he would bend over backwards to fix any problem that could arise, but the bass is kinda unique. It would be my mahogany stained jazz as its the only all passive bass I have.

I say a Mexican P or Jazz would be fine for a backup and cheap, don't lend your baby out.
He should buy a $100 squire off of CL, and have it set up. It is just a back up that he wont need, right??
Well gee it's just a quick jaunt to a few cities in some neighboring states. What could POSSIBLY go wrong??

If he's TRULY, REALLY a genuine friend then you have no choice... find him a Squier!!
Yeah - I was going to suggest that you or him buy a squier affinity jazz and do a quick setup.
If he can't scrape the cash together you could offer to buy it and rent it to him or have him pay you for it in $25 payments or something like that.
Even if he takes care of it, their van could get robbed or it could walk off at a show. Climate/temperature changes could mess with it too. I'd say that the chances of it coming back 100% in the same condition that it left are close to zero.
Ask yourself honestly if you'd be ok with it coming back damaged. Even if he reimburses you some cash, some repairs just aren't easily done.

Im with the guys by saying find him a $100 beater. Their has to be a pawn shop gem somewhere. If he can't afford that then he can't afford to fix any damage brought to your bass.
i would offer any of my basses for the west coast part of the tour. But i can't see how getting them to him and back would be cheaper than just buying a beater.
Yea he should be able to get a bass for sub $100 and resell it when he gets home.

Looks like we are trying out a guitarist tomorrow. He's been writing Ahab/Pallbearer type of stuff. Not really what I'm feeling right now. But could get interesting. Back to Drop f*cking A... Now I gotta set something up. My Pbass needs re-soldering and I'm lazy. Hopefully I have some pots laying around. Either that or string something else up for A. Which would probably be easier. Or just buy a 5 string hahaha.

It is a Peavey 215, doesn't look like a "D" cab. I would want to know what speakers are in it.
Went to the sports store so my friend could get 30-06 for his deer hunting or whatever he does. Saw these things lol
