He may want to rethink that cause having the extra business (cash flow) may help keep a small company afloat. I looked at their offerings again after someone posted an early release Bear DI. No mention of the DI on the website and 2K for a head? I'd rather get a SB300 for that kind of scratch.

Dont think youre talking about the same Bear Amps I am. This Bear Amps is a one man doom wizard that does amp repair/modding and the only probuction thing hes done is the Lucifuzz.

Lately I have been looking for a pedal D.I. to fill out my board and allow for a simple solution when micing isn't an option. I am not super thrilled with the DI on my 4 pro(noise issues) and would like to run both the 4 pro and the 2000s at some point. I plan on routing to both amps via ABY following the DI. I am not certain on which model I would like, but I would like something with a mid control. I have been eyeballing the VMTD and the Tonehammer DI. The Era knob on the VMTD interests me and I generally like the DG sound, although the B7K is a little clanky for the level of heavy I play. The Aggie is something I have been interested in for a while but am not super familiar with the Aggie sound firsthand and do not know how well that sound plays with pedals/Ampeg. Which do you guys prefer between these two options, or do you have a better suggestion?

Thanks, I sent him a message on FB. Trying to land some fuzz that does that metallic fuzzstortion sound. Thinking the Lucifuzz or the Black Arts Toneworks Black Sheep. Not sure of any other pedals that might do it. I know that comes from pushed amps but I am trying to make that sound at low volume through pedals LOL. I like the video from Bear Amps where he is playing bass through the Vulcan and he goes through the different gain inputs on the Vulcan.
Oh and Henry the dog got me again, at least this time it was only the cables, the heavy blanket worked, but like a dummy I only covered the pedals. Yeah he is living outside now.

I know one side of the lucifuzz is slightly based of the vulcan fuzz(red) its more of a middy chugga chugga to it, and the other is loosely a meathead(blue) which yields massive bass.
Its also super responsive to the input level you give it. Low output pups make it kinda wooly, hot pup smash it into destruction.

I wish I had started building guitar and bass bodies when I still worked at a place that had a CNC machine and laser cutter. I could have rough cut bodies and made pickguards sooooo easily. I did make a couple engraved truss rod covers for a friend while I was there, that was about it.
Man the new medicine has been working so this is my first migraine in about a week now and after taking the medicine to ease it up I feel like I am on downers. So basically in la la land at work. Thinking about working on some pages from this book that my coworker gave me for Micah since her kids have burned through it already.
So, I'm on the second listen of the new Colour Haze and I'm having mixed feelings. It starts off very strong, but just kind of fizzles out toward the end. It seems like either an EP with one too many songs or the first half of a double album. Unfinished and a little disappointing. They were initially saying that it was going to be a double album, but that got changed on the Colour Haze website shortly before release. I can only hope that there's a part two coming down the pipe - otherwise I'm just a little confused and let down.

Hey gents. Hope everyone had a decent holiday. Been pretty busy with traveling, family, and work. Trying to get the hang of life without a talkbass app.
I kinda like it, It's not as awesome as "She Said", but it's pretty decent. 6-7 out of 10.
I don't think it's terrible by any means, the first 4 tracks are really solid, and I like the last track - but I feel like it's an anti-climax for the album. They have always been so good at having huge, long songs with big buildups, it threw me when they went with a relatively laid-back middle-eastern jam for the last track. It makes me feel like there should be more.
I don't know, I'm certainly going to spin it some more and see how it stands up over multiple listens.
