Alright, so this seems like a better place to ask than the general talkbass populace. If I was looking to get more heart-stoppingly loud, would I be better off to get another dually, then through some sort of splitter box run two dually's at 2 ohms. or get another head + cab? Or will the meatsmoke even push hard enough to warrant another cab increasing volume.

Adding a second cab will give you an additional 3 dB of volume. Doubling your power gives you an additional 3 db of volume.

If you are not pushing your amp dead out right now, then a second cab will be a big improvement in volume. A 300 watt tube amp should be pretty loud already with one dually if you are pushing it hard.

Yeah to be fair I'm not fully pushing the meatsmoke yet. Its less of a practical question, and more of a curiosity on how i can move the most air the most cost efficient way. From your post it looks like i may be better off with a second cab if either way Im just looking at a 3 db increase.

I've also had the thought to run an svt stereo with it since I've basically got the overdrive circuit in the verellen always on and running the svt clean. Just to get some ridiculous low end thump goin. Which in the end is my whole goal. Rattling peoples bowls loose moving a cubic shitload of air.

We played a birthday bash at another bands Studio a few months back...They have two guitar players running two stacks a piece. So to compete the bass player had two Ampeg 810 running. Pretty sure it was a power amp head. I plugged in the board and engaged the blower box.... Sounded so nice! Dueling dually would be similar kind of awesome.

You need another speaker cable, that's it. You're either going to run two cables out of the amp, one to each cab, or run one cable from the amp to one cab and one cable from one cab to the other. It depends on the configuration of speaker outputs and impedance control on the amp. You might need to consult Ben Verellen about that, if it's unclear.

I have two Duallies and run them usually either with two amps at 4 ohm each or with my stereo power amp. The Dunwich amp I have on the way is setup to run both simultaneously, at 2 ohm with dual speakon outputs.
