So apperently my Guitarist just found a Peavey Standard 260, like the one that started it all for me, for $35. And hes giving it to me because I gave him mine...

And im still picking up that early Bass 300 this month. Dammit thats a lot of Peavey. I already have more than i can do with.

Had to open a bottle of wine with a screwdriver. Now I've got red spots on my kitchen wall and a cork with a bit from the screwdriver inside the bottle. The wine is pretty good, though.

Yeah, I know this method, but the cork was one of those synthetic ***** and stuck for good, wouldn't budge either way. I worked almost an hour to open the goddamn bottle.

My corkscrew didn't do poopie to this fvcker. It was stuck hard.

Lucky bastard at $35, but I got that series 400 today.

Also the $50 20 gauge single shot shotgun I got the day before I went on vacation is at the local gunsmith getting cut down to 18.5" and getting a replacement buttstock next week. Then to buy the 3" .22lr, 9mm and 410/45 adapter set and a black powder adapter so I can muzzle load it like a musket.

These rigs will make your scalp itch for sure. Get some plugs or you'll be def real soon.

Thats amazing condition, but i still wouldnt pay 300 for it. If you can talk him south of 250 it would be a good deal.

6 input with the block dot metal knobs puts it later 70s but it still has an early 400 series power section. It does 200watts at 2 ohms not 300watts at 2ohms like later 6 inputs. So that puts it from somewhere around 74-76.

what (if any) are the most useful mods they have available for it?

I'm a big fan of the clean blend mod. I think Ron got it too...

I've see a few of these up for sale lately in different parts of the country... and Askrere posting the one he picked up for pennies.

Clean blend that works is great otherwise just another knob to diddle.

Centaurus' first show went great tonight. I got to play for the first time to an almost packed house. As well as christen Tulsa with its first ever Meatsmoke. Got stormed on people asking me about my setup. Feels good. Sold several shirts. All around a killer night. We got invited back to play again in May.
