In other news, I am getting itchy to get another tattoo. Designs always just pop up as meaningful. Still waiting for the right idea before this round of ink.

Who thinks taking my bass vi neck off the bidy and putting it on my flying V and getting a new bidge is a bad idea? Cause i kinda want to do it...

It is, thats why i cant sell it...but i have no use for it. VEGA tone requires a ric, and its too short for the low tuning off GH. And i hate big strings.

still a work in progress, but at the practice space it's my Holden 200w (4x KT88, big iron, New Zealand made in the 60s, Marshall-esque front end) through an 810 for the bass side, Holden 100 (2x KT88, same as above but with a slightly more "guitar" voice) through a matching 412. haven't played a live show since December, but for live shows it'll be the 200w into the Sunn 215 and a yet-to-be-acquired 412 guitar cab.
i need to do some experimenting with what the best 412 format is for the treble rig before purchase - i always assumed it would need to be a big thick Orange/Matamp style straight cab, but perhaps slanted stacked on its side will sound badass?
fun times. it's hard to accumulate a lot of amplification here, being a tiny island nation with big import taxes and bigger shipping costs, so this is all very exciting haha.
Sounds like youll have your own Henge!!! To make it more complicated for you, also look into oversized 212s as well, i aswell as the VEGA guitarist actually prefer them to traditional 412s slanted or straight otherwise.
So in the overwhelming majority of bass VI vids, people use guitar setups. really it's no different than my bronco in scale and tuning. Are people just taking a risk, or is there something to that design that makes it safe when playing into guitar speakers?

that could be a plan. i've played through a modern Orange 212 before and the tone was a bit janky, i was having phase issues when i tried it however. the depth knob on the 3-knob cthulhu is gonna be seriously handy for dialing out the bass and focusing the tone on upper mid/treble.
that's definitely what you wanna hear.
this is my favourite garage setup, Matamp cab is my guitarists. something about the feedback just kills when you have each cabinet blasting at each pickup.
