Well VEGA is good for now...keywords there, for now.
it's a bit of a love/hate. some days it sound great but sometimes it sounds too bright. I don't know why. I think I need to spend more time with it.
I've got a Wizard Fuzz on the way to me and on my GAS list is a b3k (I had one before and sold it but we have a bunch of songs now where it would be perfect. ) also curious about the new Keeley Bassist Compressor, Black Forest, Ol' Dirty Bass and of course a bigger board to fit them all

I was really happy today with the AE Hail Satan Deluxe and having the Fdeck HPF v3 at the end of the chain.
Were plugged direct into a board and full headphone practices right now. Drummer is on a roland electric kit.
Guys are pulling some pretty good stereo recordings.
1) I didn't roll in Hail Satan Mode this time and found a happy spot.
2) Rolled back the gain on the HPF to gain some clarity of the riffs, think less boomy.
3) Tone was still hot enough to allow me to back off attack but still make it sound killer.
Cory it seems were looking someone to record us again. I didn't ask why the last guy is off the table.
Were thinking in mid to late February to have this last couple of songs ready... Will need to talk about it offline for sure.

What's your preferred setting? I've never thought of it as bright.

I'm finding more Eq on the pedal is and can be useful, even with a darker OD. But the main thing is how it's driven into the amp or board is key. Having a end of board trim may be a option I take more often. I didn't stick around for a listen of what we recorded today. I don't have the BDPG on the mini, so didn't have a chance to test it all out with the darker OD. BDPG the OG DD.
Do any of you guys not have a tonal bypass or do and dont use it on your blue beard?
Also what's the method for quickest contact of Sonny, I want to see if he has a diagram or gut shot of tonal bypass mod. I want to rehouse it and set it up for side jacks and second stomp switch for the bypass.

I had my Bluebeard modded for tone bypass by sonny and just sent it in. I would contact him via email. I unfortunately don't have the email I formation,
fot clipping I usually use position 1 but I've been experimenting with the no diodes setting as well. bass is at 3 o'clock and treble is dialed back to 8 o'clock. Ideally I'm trying to get a brighter grinding tone to kind of make it sound like i'm playing with a pick. some days it works other days it's just too bright. the main problem i think is that my action is quite low and the fret noise get too much with the VT.
My rat definitely amplifies fret noise.
Does the VT have the same filter knob setup as the rat, or is it a regular tone knob?

Back home from CES, Jesus what a gigantic sensory overload of a trade show. Had some good meetings, accomplished a lot, walked and walked and walked and then walked some more. Got bumped from a meeting because Will.I.Am showed up. Robots, 3D printers, headphones and usb power banks were the big items. Oh, and it seems that asian people like to look in one direction while walking in another. I can't count the number of times some guy walked into me.

maybe not a very doomy post, but... if any of you fellows have some studio space in the east side of LA where i can work on my visual art, write songs with the jazz/pignose, and sleep between my classes let me know, i've gotta get out by the end of the month and with upcoming vacuum forming work and a possible art show in joshua tree i need somewhere to work

Quick question: anybody know what would cause a "pop" when I switch on a loop on my loop pedal? I've got a Loop Master pedal, with A/B and C capabilities. I can switch A/B with a stomp, and add C on top to either with another stomp. Right now I've got two Istomps in my C, running Stone Phase and DOD 25B Envelope Filter. The first time, and only the first time, I engage the C channel, I get a pop. After that, the switch is quiet. Ideas? Thanks!
I read about this the other day and found some articles on how to fix it. Some guys just click it a few times before they play if it only happens once. But there is a permanent fix.

Got my sushi fix yesterday big time. Played that new Squier Baritone yesterday, damn it sucked IMO. Those Jazzmaster pups sounds awful to me, but I hate super trebly pups. It feels like a Bass VI and not a baritone guitar also because of using the same neck. I thought I would dig it because of digging the Squier Bass VI but nope. I drooled over the Black Arts Toneworks pedals at GC too, that Black Sheep looks so cool....must have. Kind of trippy how tall the Black Forest is.

I kind of gave up on Rats but picked up that Greyscale Hellcat in the used pedal bin at GC as a possible flipper and plugged it in and it was a keeper.
