Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

I had my Bluebeard modded for tone bypass by sonny and just sent it in. I would contact him via email. I unfortunately don't have the email I formation,

Since I'm redoing it as the mockup on the left, I'd rather do it myself to fit it as needed. ill go find his email, unless someone knows his work number or something to hit him up tomorrow.

I really want to hear the midcut bypassed and decide which side of my stereo setup gets what dirt.

I was really happy today with the AE Hail Satan Deluxe and having the Fdeck HPF v3 at the end of the chain.
Were plugged direct into a board and full headphone practices right now. Drummer is on a roland electric kit.
Guys are pulling some pretty good stereo recordings.

1) I didn't roll in Hail Satan Mode this time and found a happy spot.

2) Rolled back the gain on the HPF to gain some clarity of the riffs, think less boomy.

3) Tone was still hot enough to allow me to back off attack but still make it sound killer.

Cory it seems were looking someone to record us again. I didn't ask why the last guy is off the table.
Were thinking in mid to late February to have this last couple of songs ready... Will need to talk about it offline for sure.

Feel free to shoot me a pm if you want to discuss details. I'd love to record a fellow TBer and get in depth with the heavy bass tones.

i do but not currently using it on the board - it does some funny things to my stereo signal and we no longer play the songs i used it in! what's the diff between the old and new, from memory?

i iasked Peter to tweak it to be a little more bass friendly. basically the frequency switch doesn't go as high but goes lower. plus I had him make the gain less sensitive so I have more play there and it can work with fuzz in front of it or without fuzz without having to adjust the gain.

Bluebeard tone bypassed ****ing rips on guitar as well. out of control sound.

I'll need to try that, though it'll be part of the dedicated stereo bass setup. Though, I still have two russian muffs at my parents. Maybe I'll rehouse them and add the bypass to them too. Compare all three muffs and see what fits best where.

Also have the dano pedal setup, and the peavey 400's onboard distortion, fuzz, trem and reverb Doing there thing.

Only thing left I want is a nano small stone in pedal gas For the svt dually side of things.

you won't be regretting it as a stereo option. sounds huuuuge when parallel with another more defined fuzzy wuzzy.

Yea that's what I'm trying to figure out, pj split into the Clean svt/dirty ormat respectively. So the question will be, of the BB and UD which is better for low end low mid dirt side and which is better for high mids dirtier side.

Once chosen, My dorky idea is to repaint the pedals in each chain, clean side all white and dirty side black. Black bass and black and white cabs and rack assembly doesn't hurt.

yeah that's exactly my plan except with ric-o-sound. big toobs clean (or bluebeard) on one side, cthulhu fuzz and smaller toobs on the other side.. yum.
