Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread, Part 90: Maxed Out

yep I would just stack them.

I tried vertically stacking my Duallies when I first got the Faital one. It was...precarious.

They are a bit lacking in depth, which was a selling point to me, as it fits in my car.

The bassic has those big plastic locking corners. I want to get little metal ones to match the dually so it's less awkward.

Also once I can swing the oeavey ipr2 3000DSP my rack setup won't be heavy at all so should be stable.

Oh, look what just landed at my desk for evaluation purposes:

Giving them a workout with Bongripper at the moment. They sound pretty good!

That is what I am hoping. If it traded the stupid ultra switches in favor of a selectable mid, I would be all over it. Still looks tasty for late night solo practice.

What about your neat wee little tube pre amp thing, how has that been serving you.

I did...she said yes? That was way easier than i thought it would be. BUT IS THIS A TRAP?!?

Make sure she gets something too.

Mind blown...

Oh she'll get hers...

My thoughts exactly, if there was baby makin DOOM, its ATW.
Chicks will be in to whatever you are. Once it's a committed relationship, it's all over.

My wife and I get along great. Our choice in music is now different. I can barely talk her into seeing my band play, much less someone like High On Fire.

So she has girls night. My fun, is band practice. It's pretty much the only thing I do outside of work. One night a week.

They also learn that what you don't like doing they just need to wait till the end of the week to spring it on you. Oh my parents are coming by tonight, oh we have to go see so and so this afternoon or tomorrow. So you have to figure out plans very early in the week if not you will be told you never want to do anything so I make plans for us. Oh and is it just me or do you find men don't like to talk in the evening but women do LOL. I will run my mouth all day but the sun goes down and I turn mute, I think women are Vocal Vampires.

LOL. So we currently practice in what is essentially a band rehearsal warehouse with a bunch of different rooms that is owned by a local storage unit chain company. After jamming for about 30 minutes last night, some girl knocked on our door and asked if we could keep it down because they were rehearsing for a classical performance they were performing the next day. I told her we'd do our best but our amps are inherently loud and there wasn't much we were going to be able to do considering my Orange was already at 1 out of 10. Later I walked out into the hall way and heard like 7 other rock bands playing. No way were they able to properly rehearse. Who tries to have a classical rehearsal at a jam spot with mostly metal bands?

we had a rockabilly band come up to us afterwards and complain a little last night - we were testing dirt pedals and the Cthulhu Fuzz was vibrating their drum kit through the (soundproofed on both sides) wall.

found a new setup for sonofsun ( http://sonofsuncheersmate.bandcamp.com/ ) as well - my guitarist had a RAT clone with the LM308 chip and multiple diode settings he was no longer using - i put it on the treble pickup with a clean tone on the neck pickup and it rules. high notes cut through like a hot knife through butter. definitely got a new appreciation for that circuit, i'd never been able to make it work for me before.

Hadnt heard of it yet. Is the line up complete? If not VEGA may try to jump on then...and then ill definitely be going

All Them Witches is rolling through on Valentines Day...dont know how to swing that with a lady friend now.

i'm playing a festival in the country on valentines day - luckily the girlfriend is happy to come along and camp and get drunk.

I got hip to RATs pretty recently. I will one day have a custom RAT.
