Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part Ten - What is this thread about again?

King of the North... cool band and a Game of Thrones reference... I'm balls deep in book three.
Had a great rehearsal yesterday. We started work on a new song, which is always my favorite thing to do at rehearsal.
Since getting the Peavey tube power amp, I've still been using my BDDI as a (just about) full time pedal. I drove the amp a little harder and it sounded like butta! I found that I don't need the pedal on nearly as often. I kind of wish I had a smaller version of the pedal- I have the four button Deluxe, which takes up a lot of real estate on the old pedal board.

OK gents. Here's something cool we could try. I mentioned my singer's side project a few pages back. Basically, he hooked up with some dude from the Netherlands and recorded vocals on this guy's guitar/bass/drum tracks. This gave me an idea. I am not the most skilled musician but I can fake me way on guitar and drums. If anyone is in dire need of help on some songs, maybe you could send some rough tracks my way and I could try and fill in some blanks. I don't have a studio but I have some recording tools and I may be able to add some guitars and drums (and maybe some vocals) do a demo track.
I'm generally super busy so you'd also have to have some time on your project for me to get anything useful recorded for you.

Everytime I see a washboard player, I think about playing bass with those finger things.
father of fires, I may hit you up on that because at this rate, I'll never go anywhere. I already determined that I suck on virtual drums. And really, it's just for me anyways. I mean, maybe I'll use it if I ever find people to jam as a reference point. But I think of it as creating the music I would want to hear. What's a good place to host clips for free, Soundcloud?

Thanks guys. I have a guitar playing buddy in VA that has nothing better to do. Maybe I'll see if he would be willing to lay down a guitar track, that just leaves drums. My arch enemy. The one band member position that has seemed to allude me since I moved to this state.
Starting to order some camping supplies for my "Man Weekend" in a couple of weeks. We all go out to this big property in Kentucky and get drunk all weekend. Best part about it is this huge liquor store that has all these rare whiskys. I don't do much camping but it is an awesome time.
My cousin and his friends have a dedicated "Handguns and Hard Alcohol" day when they go camping. Yikers. I do not approve of this at all.
LOL. The land is owned by a mutual friend's grandpa. He basically lets us do whatever we want, as long as we don't bring guns. His land, his rules. I'm fine by that. Lots of other ways to have a good time. I love shooting guns but don't think I'd be a fan of combining it with drinking. Seems similar to doing something stupid like drunk driving.
