I thought Catherine Wheel's first album, Ferment, was pretty trippy. I think it got classified as shoegazing music, but that seems pretty stoner to me. And I should know. Or not.

Check out The Company Band too. Neil from Clutch, members of CKY, Fireball Ministry and Puny Human throw down some insanely good riffing.

After the band I used to be in broke up, our drummer went off and formed a band that probably fits in this genre called Workhorse. I'd be remiss if I didn't drop a shameless plug for his band.

Not my band, but a local stoner rock/stoner metal band that we've played with. They're pretty good IMO.

All three of them are great, Conifer's a little more psychedelic, Ocean's more doomy, and Stasis is the most uptempo out of the three.

I was actually going to audition for Stasis (Their guitarist wrote all the music, they just needed a bassist live), but since I don't really live in Maine anymore, it wouldn't have worked out. Oh well... I get back there this summer, hopefully with my own Stoner/Doom project in tow.

Fireball Ministry my favorite US band and Orange Goblin my favorite UK band. Doom,stoner,sludge whatever you call it it is the best style to play and listen to. I hope it stays underground screw the major labels I don;t want them poisening this style.

Listening to the new Hermano right now, it's better than the last one. Saw Unida a month or so ago, man that was an awesome show. I <3 John Garcia.

Been addicted to that one Dax Riggs album as of late, If This Is Hell Then I'm Lucky. Actually I've been on a pretty huge Riggs kick over the past year or so. He is surrounded by a brilliant light. A brilliant, eerily dark light.

Also some Dozer, Orange Goblin, Ufomammut, et al. Since Pagan Altar was mentioned earlier and I just read it, will have to put them on. Freakin' awesome group right there.

Thanks dude. I don't plan on pushing this band too hard until we get some better quality recordings, I'm looking forward to it. I also want to get MY bass rig in there. I'm using my guitarist's bass rig, it's a more metal oriented tonality and my preference is a little more rockish.
