Stoner Metal/ Stoner rock

Awesome, as soon as I get something setup at the Beer Mug (the only REAL rock venue in town sadly), I'll contact one of you dudes.

P.S. Dixie Death Driver was my myspace profile song for about a month.

The new stuff on your myspace page sounds awesome. Sven sent me a link to a really rough version of this stuff, this sounds so much better. Looking forward to gigging with you guys again in the future. I swear, we'll sound better this time! Our gig with you guys was our third gig ever and it was pretty embarassing, things are clicking now and we've got some new songs, and a full length that will be done sometime before next year I hope. :D

Peace

I've been listening to the Satanic Bat stuff for a while, this **** is sounding awesome! I love how jammy it is. King Bowman only has one song where we "jam" really, I wanna do that type of **** more. You guys are awesome because you've made your influences clear, and you sound pretty ****ing original at the same time.

We really gotta get you guys up here :D I do want to wait for the weather to be a bit nicer to attract more of a crowd. I'd hate to bring you guys up in poopy weather and have no one show. But yeah, I'll probably message the SB account or Sven when we've got a few possible dates lined up (see what works for you dudes.)

Awesome jams, Stoner Rock fans, check 'em out: Link Removed

Heh, the one time we tried to get you guys up here, it was at a christian venue, and they didn't like "Satanic" anything. :D

Thanks for the props, man. We're really happy with where we're heading and the path that we're taking to get there.

We're a little flexible on the name. You could have just booked us as:"The Bat." :D

Yeah Agents of Oblivion came right after Acid Bath, but they arent together anymore as far as I know. but you're right, Agents is awsome music also.
I think the latest Dax band is Deadboy and Elephantman, or something like that. I heard a song or two off one of their impossible to find older albums, it was freakin' KILLER. The new stuff I don't know about though. I love that Agents of Oblivion disc, even if I'm not the biggest Acid Bath fan.
So, I finally got me some Colour Haze!

I just ordered "Los Sounds De Krauts" off allthatsheavy.com. Hope its a good one to start with. I like the fact thats a double disc. Can't wait till it gets here, I've heard nothing but good stuff about these guys. Most of the MP3s on their site sound pretty spectacular.
Awesome. That one, like the others, is freakin' incredible. Don't be afraid to buy another if you like it, they are all similar but each has a unique vibe. :D

I finally got some recordings of my band up. Keep in mind they are pretty rough and the drummer is still learning the songs. These were recorded at our jam space with 2 mics placed about 8 feet from the stage, into a Tascam 4 track.

there are lots of great bands that play some nice stoner rock (without going for that doom sound that I personally don't like)...

...kyuss, fu manchu, atomic bitchwax, orange goblin, karma to burn(instrumental), clutch, unida, hermano, slo burn, nebula, fatso jetson, yawning man ...

of course i'm gonna whore my stoner band

Evil Bebos is mammoth stoner metal. These guys combine elements of noise, melody, heavy riffage, and deep, guttural bellows thats made to be listened to loud as hell from beginning to end. Their record, The Dead Language, is a solid piece of work. Check this **** out...

These guys are also playing South by Southwest in Austin, TX this year. Their live show will blow you away. Along with their long ass songs they project visuals over top of them head banging the entire set...it's ****ing brutal!!!
