the uninformed gibson store clerk said that the bass that I was playing was hand crafted "roght her n nashvul". so i am pretty sure it was made in nashville. The bass had scratchy pots, a beat to hell finish (realize it was a floor model, but $4,700 yea right), and a piss poor fret job. no idea how this bass made it out of the factory. it is pretty bad when a guitar center floor model mtd import bolt on out plays a hand crafted gibson tobias neckthru.
