SX Ursa 6-string Jazz bass

Mine came yesterday. I LOVE the CAR finish. Fortunately, I got my 3ts one sorted out, after a LOT of fussing, so this one will likely serve as a backup.

I haven't changed the strings or made any of my standard mods to it yet, but there are some interesting differences between the 2. First off, my 3ts one doesn't have the dual skunk stripes, no skunk stripes at all in fact. I expect that the skunk stripes will make for a more stable neck, time will tell. Also the 3 through 6 string tuners on the CAR one are set father back from the edge which gives better alignment with the nut for straight string pull. Cosmetically, the SX decal on the CAR one is a little larger and bolder, which I like. Also, they have softened the point that used to be on the point of the control plate, looks closer to the Fender one now.

So I kinda consider my 3ts one a version 1.0, and the CAR one a version 2.0. So why don't I make the newer one my number one? Looks. I prefer sunburst, and the flame on the version 1 neck is to die for, and I'm not at all ashamed that I sound shallow saying that. Plus I've already bonded with it. Maybe I'll change my position later... But I seriously doubt it.

If I remember correctly the Carvin 6 pickups are not the right size and do not fit the SX routs.

The only ones that people have said are drop-in for the SX 6 er routs are these:

I tried to buy a pair but couldn't get my paypal account to work to send money to Oz. I'm still hoping someone will buy some and give us a review.
