I had to put my Ash 6 in the shop for a high fourth fret. It would cause buzzing on the B E and A strings when I would play in first position. I am picking it up today. Besides that issue the bass has been a real deal. The only thing left to do now is add an Audere.
it's a new record for me, for fastest impulse buy. I hate red & I still did it. I jsut got the 1100 hollow body this week (also on sale 225).

I've been wanting a bass with strings > 4 for a while, and at $100 it'll make a suitable test subject for my refinishing skills. Bwah-hah-HAH!
Anyone know if there's a rout between the neck pickup and the controls? Thinking I may remove the guard, or replace it with a black one.

I don't remember either, but I think that the rout for the neck pup is larger than the pup. IOW you would have a big gap all around the neck pup if you remove the guard.
I may be remembering wrong, because I have a bad memory and I have shielded all of my 20 or so SX basses, so I could be remembering another model. Come to think of it though, I only remember ONE of them NOT having a rout between the ncek pup and the control cavity... could have been this one or could have been my Andromeda.

I Know what you mean. Only 13 left! And I can't possibly justify buying another one! And I hate red too. So why am I having such a huge GAS attack? Damn TB.
