Synth Bass Subforum?

I thought you had excellent points (in general, your posts are always intelligently written, helpful, completely annotated, and thought-provoking). But unfortunately, on this site (and most other Fora) posters like you are the minority and often your efforts are lost on the masses.
But if you like to write flippant, one-word posts or argue about what bassist is better than another, you will fit right in here.

Well, like I said previously, it's their football so if we want to play with it we have to do it their way.
Or use someone else's football (go to another forum more tuned in to synth bass enthusiasts).
They don't ~need~ us here so they can afford to be choosey. While I can understand that, there's nothing that says I have to agree with it.
Muffwigglers is just about to reopen the forum to non-member guests again. They closed it down and made it "members only" for a few weeks due to super heavy guest traffic that was slowing down their servers so much that members were complaining about the very poor performance of the forum. It was getting pretty bad to be honest. But from what I've read over the last day or so they've reconfigured ~something~ with their servers (or whatever) and will be granting non-member access to it again soon, like within a few days if not sooner.
I am a member there, but I use a different moniker than what I use here. However all my currect musical projects are in Talk Bass so you're not missing anything as far as stuff I may have going on .... everything I'm doing is in here ... other than my motorcycle project which is in a motorcycle forum.
Anyhow ... as far as a synth forum in Talk Bass goes (more like DOESN'T go) it's too bad, but it is what it is until it isn't.
But I'm not holding my breath.
Going back to not fitting in. Heheh ...

Add me to the list of dissapointed. Maybe there's not enough demand. Or maybe its "old school mentality" vs the "new breed" of bass player. Regardless if the thread stays up and gets enough votes, change might happen.
What do you synth/BG hybriders recommend for a good stand that can fit over a pedalboard? I have a PT-2 full of effects and would like to get a keyboard stand that fits on top of it and still gives me easy access to my pedals. Real estate is often an issue on stage, so I'd rather have both items in the same footprint.

Yuppity yup yup! It's the Twitter Mentality. People's minds are shrinking to suit 140 or less character thoughts. I have never even been on Twitter (nor have I ever even sent a text message on a cell phone, and I don't even own a smart phone). It's a shame, actually. English is such a detailed and fluid language, with the tools to be able to convey highly complex ideas and thoughts. But there is an entire generation that is reducing their ability to communicate to less than 140 character responses. It makes me wonder how that type of brain development will affect the future, especially here in the US. The US is already way WAY behind in education and acedemics than other nations. For example, we produce 1 engineer for every FIFTY engineers that come out of China. We're way way behind in math and vocational skills as well.
But by the gods we can friggin SHOP! Yea buddy ... we some shoppin' sunsabitches alrighty! Yea, we can buy our asses off like nothin' doin'!
We're also 57th (not a typo, fifty seventh) when it comes to health care and life expectancy, but we pay more per patient than any other place in the entire world. What's that tell ya? That someone is making some SERIOUS money off of us shoppers, while we're getting medical care equal to many third world countries. We pay FAR FAR more per patient than anyone in the world, and receive crap care for it!

But I suggest one small addition...a sub-woofer! I ended up with a Mackie DLM-12S and it makes the pedals really speak and the side effect is that the digital cross-over of the Mackie makes the JBLs sound much, much better!
(and to be on topic...when I was researching subs or full systems to do my Taurus III's justice I had a heck of a time here on TB because there was not a proper bass pedals sub-forum. I had to post in other areas and it was difficult to get people to pay attention to the question. A proper sub-forum would be a real help.)

So I've been stewing over this Subforum business, and came up with a temporary answer. On my site, midipedals.com, I have a forum (not as vast as TB by any means), and figured I'd take the 15 or so topics on TB I am subscribed to, and quickly arrange them into topics. In about a 1/2 hour i came up with about 30 topics from a Google search, and I'm sure there are many, many more. I figured it would save time for anyone looking for synthbass related topics. Novel idea, eh?

Flux and Jazzbo have some SSTR! (SWEET Stacks of Techno Rubble!) There is nothing like a modular system! I learned so much from my roomie's Arp 2600 back in the early 80's.
I have the Trillian Total Bass Module, I,m having a hard time with installation, anyone else have this?
Haven't used it, but I do a little tech support. Are you using it stand alone, or with another DAW? Windows or Mac?
Awesome, thanks for the pic! I'm debating between one of those Z-shaped stands and one of the platform ones. How compact does yours get?
I'm up to over 80 different [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] that I've linked on my site, and I'm not even close to exhausting all of the different searches I can do for related content. Funny how there are quite a few other forums (such as the Ask A Pro, and Sponsored threads & forums) that number less than 100 threads. I haven't even gotten into how many posts the Synth and MIDI topics have.
