TB Noise Compilation V.3

Eh?

Eh?

Eh?

;)

i was almost in a noise comp like that about 3 years ago, back when i did noise regularly. It was interesting, but confusing on what exactly to submit - you can't just take up the sonic spectrum...

i could link to the comp if you guys are interested in hearing it (even though i'm not in it.)

i ended up not being able to be in that because of myspace's spam filters, they kept blocking the myspace message with the megaupload address... pooey. my track was a doozey, too...

finally have a free weekend,... going to record this weekend,...

planning on running one board with my 'band' effects on it, the other noise board (multi fuzzes + delays + pitch shifter) going to run through eye of god and do it all in one take... droning insanity controllable via wah and pitch shifting = woot :D

Just submitted mine to good sir Pickles!

Pretty stoked about this one... the whole "do it live" thing was a great challenge. For all of the fx and trickery I used, I found that the most useful / engaging / structural thing was that I was balancing my bass on my left leg bouncing it up and down while trying to strum it. Definitely randomized my approach a bit...

I plan to roll marbles down the fretboard while magnetically attaching small tools to the pickups. Knob adjustments will be made by my toes. I might get the cat involved if he decides to cooperate. Can't wait to get started.

would it be cheating if we had 3...4...5 ish instruments running at once?

all sent through a mixer into the same effect signal chain, of course. and out into the same amp. and recorded with the same 2 mics on the sam 2 cabinets.

the rig for this track will reek of epicness.

Oh man, I've got one coming at you as soon as I'm done. Time to unleash all those VST effects I downloaded. ;)

Edit: DONE! I used a ring modulator, an envelope filter, a Shepards tone generator, a Flanger, a Phaser, a Leslie simulator, LOTSA reverb, overdrive, 3 amp simulators, a square wave guitar synth, and lots of horrid overdubbing.
