Bit of a left of field question here but - looking for anyone who makes covers for the RS210C combo?
I thought maybe TC would actually make them but apparently they dont and I want to cover my cab and RH750.

Hey Gareth,

Did you get to play the 750 with your db212?
Back when I had the RH450, I played it with a Berg HS210 which I didn't like at all.

So what abou the trusted db212 :bassist::bassist::bassist: ?

Hi! Hope all is well!

It works great. As yet ive yet to find a head I DONT like with the DB212...but the extra top end on the 750, and headroom, makes it even better than the 450. You can add more of a modern snap with the tweetertone :)

How is it compared to a MB?
I am asking because I am looking for a powerful amp with 2 semi-parametric mid bands comparable with the LM2/3 or SA450

Hmm, the LM3 was more 'open' and neutral to me. Nowhere near as much perceived power/headroom, or as much to tweak, cf to the 750 but LM3 does have that great tone that only the MB amps seem to do.

The 750 is more voiced, but cuts through very well. The additional highs are nice.

I am currently looking at adding a LM3 back into my collection, but the 750 slays...it is an awesome amp.

Can you break down your settings for that aggressive modern tone in clicks please?

OK, this is playing it through an AE410 with a Fender Roscoe Beck V.

The frequencies are:

Bass: 100 hz (9 clicks left)

Low Mid: 400 hz (default - 0 clicks)

High Mid: 800 hz (default - 0 clicks)

Treble: 1,600 hz (0 clicks, but not default, which is 8 clicks right)

Level settings: All four at 3 o'clock - 6 clicks right.

Tube Tone at minimum - adjust to taste.

Compressor at 9 o'clock.

One of the things I have to get used to is that this EQ is nothing like the Eden stack, where "a little dab'll do ya." It's taking some big-ass dabs to get where I like to be, but I'm getting there.

The cab seems to make a significant difference, too. I haven't got the AE212 dialed in with it exactly where I want it to be yet.

....JUST recieved my new RH750 and 2 RS210s. I'm taking the amp and one cab to a rehearsal tonight, and gigging the whole thing saturday. So far I've just noodled around for 10 minutes, setting up a sound I like and can use later. I've followed modus Munji on getting a slightly modern, aggressive tone, and found something that I can start from tonight without being a pain in the butt to the rest of the band, fiddling around with my eq all the time. I'm absolutely digging the tone I'm getting, and the finish and function of the whole rig is pretty darn nice :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Nice rig! :)

THANKS! I guess it looks largely familiar to you - except for being a bit thin in the bottom ;)
I look forward to see how my Rob Allen sounds through it, but that one's off doing some studio work - unfortunately not with me playing it - something about something called "talent" and "skills", according to the producer :hmm:
:D

That rig is a GREAT match for the Rob Allen basses... warm midrange, easy to dial out the top end that can sound a bit clacky with the piezo pickups, and good control of the low end (too much can kill your tone with the RA's, again, due to the piezo).

Here is a clip of my fretted Rob Allen Mouse through my RH450 (which should sound very similar to your rig).

Hi Ken,
SWEET TONE in that clip! I should be getting my MB-2 back tonight, and really look forward to trying it out. I had an idea it would be a good match, from knowing the bass, and from the impression I had from trying the amp: It just seemed to me the way the mids are voiced would go well with the RA. And having such great eq control over bottom and top just makes it better. But one thing is theory, and reality is something else, so I'm glad to hear you found it a good match. I got the RA to kindda work with my UL502 and Schroe BMF1212 I had, but never reeeeally good. It was a good rig with EB, but not so much with the RA.

Thanks! going to try these settings out today.

Just emailed Sweetwater re: the covers for the RS210C and they stated that right now there isn't a cover for these, only for the RS210 cab.
Anyone else know any other generic company that might make a cover for these?

TC Electronic Item #631340011
They can be ordered from Sweetwater (Try calling and asking for Stuart Niven - that guy rocks!), B&H photo video, WestLAmusic, and a few others.
