Team Trace Elliott Pt 3

So I pulled the trigger on a gp12 smx.
All I can say is...WOW! It kills my svt II pro and svt iip!
I love this amp!!!!! I'm going green!

Now...I need to find an old trace 8x10!!!

I have one of the current 1210 combos.

I am very happy with the sound, except I think I could stand some more deep bottom like I used to get from my 18" Trace enclosure. I have been thinking either I can add a 1518c:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Or pull the power section out of the combo and use just one of these cabinets:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

Anybody have any experience with these setups?

I just got done reviewing the 1210 combo (BGM #10, which will be out any day, now). For this review, I had them send me a 1028H to use as an extension cab. You'd be amazed at the depth and strength of the lows from that 2x10. It's really a great match for the 1210 combo, IME/IMHO.

You mean like this? I found the 1210 to have a kind of honky midrange and not as much lowend as I was expecting from an amp with it's wattage and pedigree. I added a 1518t and think it has helped massively, although I am not sure that a 410 wouldn't be even better.

Not exactly what i was asking about, but very close. Glad it sounds good. I'm pretty sure that adding a 15 cab will help out.

Do you find any volume issues, as in not having enough, when running both cabs?
