Not enough! So much going on between moving the shop and my gig schedule, I've been forced to slow down a bit, though we have been building a couple 1822's as well as prototyping a new sealed 212 with three 3" mid drivers. Really happy so far
I keep coming back to this thread for the updates in spite of the reality that 2 Berg 112's will cover most of my gigs and three will do the rest. This cab just sounds soooooooo cool I'd love to take one for a spin. And a Dually 18...... The mind reels!

Hey, if you love what you got, life is good! I got pretty burned out on the politics of gear and 'marketing.' I'm not willing to argue with otherwise good people about it and try to convince everyone what I make is better than my 'competitors.' There's tons of great stuff out there and we all just want to find what works for us. I've worked really hard on both Dave Greens designs and have had a blast designing these BNA cabs with Jonathan Reiner, but I sure as heck don't want to take the fun out of it! I'd love to see everyone finding their best solutions, regardless of the logo on the front
Well I for one follow you, greenboy, Dukes AKs, Mike A's MAS cabs and am waiting to hear more about the Reiner cabs. Of course I think my Bergantinos are great and all of you guys are making different flavors of wonderful. I've probably never had a better sound but of course the more you look into these things the more you go down the rabbit hole. It's a great time for bass players in terms of the highest quality of gear being made in the history of the electric bass.
As for loving what you've got......well I have a Miata but then I got a BMW Z3 but of course that's all because I'll never be able to afford a P 911 and so it goes. Dreams are cheaper than reality but dreaming is good for the soul. You know the old employment question, where do you picture yourself in five years..... I always wanted to say owning your company and driving a Ferrari, Hahahaha As for bass gear I'd love to own at least one cab from all the guys I mentioned and a Tantra and a Reiner 1200 and a G Blue Rock and, and, and it's probably time to go to bed and dream some more! But the power just went out here so I'm online again since my tv show went off, scented candles and all. Sweet dreams!

How well would one or two of these cabs work with a low watt (50-100watt) tube head?

I remember when I had the idea of a sealed 18" cab and wrote about it here on TB... most of the "tech" guys told me that the 15" was "better" in all aspects and that the time for 18" was looong gone, even for PA use.
My 2 cents, at that time and now, are that my 18" cab sounded great with massive lows I never heard from such a relatively small cab with only one woofer! And of course mine wasn't as refined as this one.

The sealed 212 is 20"W, 28"H, 16"D and uses three 3" mid drivers, no tweet. It's really chunky in the lows compared to the 1822. The 212 goes higher as well. It's a bit more sensitive than the 1822 (though not by a huge margin) and is 4 ohms as opposed to 8. The mids are quite a bit smoother too. The 1822 has more of a classic, vintage sound with more breakup in the mids, whereas the 212 might be considered more modern sounding. Personally I can (and do) play any of my electric, upright or doubling gigs with either cab and feel good about it. They both 'work' very well, I just approach things a little differently depending on what rig I'm using. We'll be using the 212 a lot more in the coming weeks to finalize prototyping. With sealed cabs, it takes a little experimenting to see how light you can do the build without getting too much box vibration. We're really close but I do want to do a couple more experiments before we green light it
