I have plenty of amps of the other class letters. Digital amp? Not for me. Way back in 70's I had some king of degree in electronics. On the last day of our class, professor said:
"I told you all I know about tubes and transistors. In your life, you might see those things got integrated in the circuits, like they are doing now in computer business. I just want to tell you one thing: if you want to know how good product is, lift it up. If it's heavy, there is a reason why it's heavy. Nobody in their right mind will put something heavy inside, if it's not for good reason. We can make light stuff. But, it's not going to work as we intended. Stick with a classics and you will never fail"

Well, your professors right about tubes for sure! But everybody's looking for the Holy Grail of tone and low-end. Personally, from toting around 2:15 black widow's what I was 17 to gigs, I generally felt like my equipment was invincible! I threw everything in that damn thing solid state or tube driven. I switched to an Ampeg 810 and after surviving that sonic bass experience, I decided to purchase a David Eden Nemesis 410. I could leave the 8:10 at home and play a medium-sized venue with a combo I could put in the back of my Firebird! Picking amp equipment it's all about preference, & price. I am a impressed what is out there 4 the money. So, I hope you find the tone you are looking for and thank you for the insight. Plywood Construction and individually boxed speakers can make a solid-state sound like a champion! But, you never forget the first time you here and all tube Ampeg classic! I peed just a little
Not for me it isn't. This is the worst welcome I've ever got from a club on this site .I think I'll just head back to the combo club and see if I get get a refund on my Acoustic.Is it safe to come out now?

Hey I'm shopping an Acoustic 230 nearby. Anyone can offer some buzz on it here? Should I get it as backup to my 370?

I'm serious enough, it'll be part of my tax return party fund.
They're very cool amps. Not quite as powerful as a 370 but it should have more than enough at 4 Ohms and they do sound great. It's essentially the same amp as the 220, but with reverb and distortion built in and marketed as a guitar amp.
It's been a long time since I've used a 230, but I remember loving the distortion/fuzz tone you can get with the master volume. The only problem was that I couldn't dial in the distortion the way I liked and still keep it close to unity gain with the clean tone. Kinda makes the master volume an all-or-nothing beast. Either way, it still makes a really nice bass amp even if you have no use for the onboard effects.
Speaking of, does it come with the footswitch?

It's about the same distance to me as it is you. You saw it first so by all means jump on it if you want it. I could have a hard time resisting if you decide to pass, though!

FWIW, the direct out in both pre and post in the B600HD head is dead-quiet, and adjustable. Sound guy approved. And yes, the lights are very bright. I had a "real" Acoustic 100 watt/15" combo back in the 70s and it hummed like crazy.
I'm still rocking my 371 heavily! The rig around it has evolved but the 371 remains the same, hard to believe but it's pretty evenly matched with the 4x15. Where that rumbles low and high, the 371 pushes air straight ahead with high velocity! I actually can drown the rest of the band out. I don't play like that but we wanted to test it and see if it would! 371 for the neck pickup and the 4x15 at 2 ohms on the bridge pickup through the darkglass!

Happy Monday, y'all. The original 360 got a bit of exercise on Saturday, and I have a rehearsal tonight and will use the 126. All is well in the world of my ears.
