I've always wanted to try a Sunn Colosseum head. I wonder how they compared to ACC.I remember Sunn also doing that back-n-da-day...

Sorry to be late to the party here. I've never seen schematics or service info for the 200, but it is in the 1970 and early 1971 catalogs. Rated power was identical the the 150, so obviously it was a 150 minus the preamp boards. It was marketed in the catalogs as a PA amp to go with their mixers.
The Jan 1971 price list has the model 200 @$249, but what caught my eye in the list was a model 300 power amp with specs matching the 361PP. I don't believe I've ever seen one of THOSE model 300 amps. The model 300 that I'm familiar with, based on the power section of the 270/370, first appears in the June 1971 catalog. So it seems like I'm still learning, or else learning and forgetting and then learning and forgetting over and over.
And capable.
Remember to use a similar size cabinet.
Like the thing, people whine about a 300-watt class D amp is not as loud as a 300-watt tube amp. Especially when the class D is saddled to a single 12 and the tube amp is riding on an 8x10. Trying them both through the same cab would be a better test.
Sunn Colosseum's are 300-watts.
Sweet. I have a '69 Marshall Major (bass version) with a matching '71 straight 4x15 cabinet. Even has slightly more speaker surface than the Ampeg fridge. I converted it from KT88 to EL34 with a different PT, still makes well over 100W RMS clean. I don't think I will never have GAS for a better bass amp anymore, not even a legendary 70s Sunn. Just regular GAS to obtain more amps

So, how would you compare the Sunn to the ACC? I know describing tone and sound is not easy, and depends on an individuals tastes, but is the Coliseum fatter, brighter or dirtier than, say, a ACC 370?New (old) Amp Day - '71 Sunn Coliseum

Absolutely. Match the uF value as closely as possible and use an electrolytic cap with the same voltage rating or higher. Don't worry about physical size, new caps will generally be quite a bit physically smaller than the old original caps of similar electrical value.
I finally got around to finishing up the repairs on the inside of my 150b 
......now I'm looking for some parts for the outside.
Specifically, cab corners.
I noticed in this thread, several years ago, a couple of members had found some from Fliptops......can any of you verify if these -
Corner 2 Prong Small for Vintage Ampegs - Product Details
- are the correct ones?

I think that was the conversation I was following (from search results) that led me to the Fliptops site.
But, those posts didn't specify which specific corners were ordered, so I just guessed based on comparing the website pic and an internet pic search (since all eight of mine are missing), I was just hoping someone could verify I was guessing correctly with those I linked to, before I order a set.......

I was out shaking the trees yesterday and this 370 fell out! Needs a bit of work but the shop practically paid me to get it out of the store. I even have a 301 at home in the pile for it! A nice addition to my ACC collection it will go along side my 360/361, 150b and two 406 cabs.

Just wanted to follow up on this......those were the correct corners, at least for an old 150b
I don't know about how the heads would sound through the same cabinets. From memory, I thought the Sunn setup was brighter, and more full range. I never stacked the Sunn cabs thought. My use of a 370 head was with the 371 cabinets, so more like apples vs avocados.
I never explored the dirt factor as getting the cleanest fullest sound was my little kid goal.
Actually venturing into the more harmonic rich tones has been more of an old man pursuit for me of late...

I've been lurking around here for a while, I've always loved the Acoustics. I found this 470 on Craigslist local to me today. I bought it from the original owner who purchased it at E.U. Wurlitzer in Boston in '74. Came with the original vinyl case, owner's manual and footswitch. It sounds so good. ISO a proper cab for it.
