THANKS! It came with a gold anodized guard. Which I know is typical for a 59. But, the tort looks so good on the orange. Plus, I already have a 57 RI with a gold anodized guard.

As far as I know-yes. I've tried to restore it twice, but it always ends up looking like this after a few months. The last time was in the mid-90's and i'm just going to leave it now. Thanks
Probably this 2004 JB-2. Only because it has a frozen truss rod with no practical way to repair it. If I were to ever sell it, the truss rod issue would drive the value down too low to be worth bothering with. Fortunately the quarter sawn neck has perfect relief. I've kept it strung with low tension TI flats for the past 5 years as a precaution....so far the neck hasn't budged one iota. Which is great because it's the best sounding JB-2 of the many I've owned.
A 2011 4 string, fretted, Warwick Rockbass Streamer LX my wife (fiancé at the time) bought me for our 2nd dating anniversary. It wasn’t related, but I also proposed to her on that same anniversary, so it’s special to me.
I’m also pretty sick and tired of buying/selling gear in the local classifieds. I now spend a LOT of time researching any of my purchases and hope that any purchase I will make from now on will be a keeper. I have an Ibanez Portamento on order and I intend on keeping that forever.

You think you'd like to laugh, but I'm not joking. My Hondo was my first bass, and it is a family heirloom, of sorts (from my sister).
It was my best playing and sounding bass until I built my Boomstick. Now it's a close #2, but I'll never sell it. Its market value is pretty much equal to its scrap value, so it just ain't worth selling.
I have never seen a Fame in real life. As far as I know , they are an internet myth.
My Warwick P-Nut II. Beyond simply being an absolutely excellent, as well as rare, bass, there is sentimental value attached that is irreplaceable.

I'd never sell "Vetta", mainly for sentimental reasons, but she's also a hell of a bass. Even put the "do not tdiscard" sticker under the strings.
Lightweight, powerful, versatile. I still gig with her sometimes cuz she's the bee's knees.

My Musicman Stingray 5 HH neck thru. Bought it new, blind and it was such a horrible bass and I plekked the living daylights out of it. It's almost a fretless. I might get 5 minutes before it becomes fretless.
The truss rod is weird and it's doesn't sound like a Stingray as most people remember.
It is so horrible and the amount of time and money I spent on it makes me cry till this day, so I am going to die with this. No one should inherit such an awful instrument. I am going to sacrifice my life and bury it with me, 666ft deep. Such a curse like this should never be released back onto mother Earth. One day in the far future, some guy will unearth me and build a statue of me for saving the world such grief, anger and anxiety.

This. My '92 Precision Plus. Bought it new in '92 and it's been my main squeeze ever since.
