I don't see why? But I'm none too sharp this morning, either.

"Something something longest night of the year something more something fun something..."

But, I can tell you that getting married on February 29th does not mean only one anniversary every 4 years! Don't ask me how I know.
.

How do you know?

(I'm slow this evening!)

Once New Year's Eve meant music to me. It's an open invitation to bring the bass to the all night jazz jam down the street. Guy was a beatnik and he played his kit like Gene Krupa. Yes, an actual vintage beatnik he is. Weird with a beard.

Yes, New Year's Eve always means music to me.

Just met a guitar player who works where I do. He said he would like to get together and "jam" sometime, so things are looking like a possible session could form.

I hope you have better luck than I have had recently...I had, what appeared to be a great response to my CL ad. I turned him on to collaborating with Reaper until we could get in-person stuff sorted out. Things went well for a week or so then he disappeared. Could be Christmas travel, COVID (heaven forbid), realizing he could be his own, one man band with Reaper or, he listened to his Reaper stuff and decided he wasn't up to the task. Time will tell but, I wish you the best. I am learning that guitar players should be fired before drummers .

What I give serious thought to as we head into twenty-twenty too is teaching. Bass, that is.

I should give serious thought to learning. Bass, that is.

AIS upthread at least one other Music Theory for the Bass Player coach and I will take the 40 week course again (it will be my fourth) as non-participants, parallel with the cohort students. That's strictly a personal decision. For me, it means the potential for greater insight with the students' video submissions. It's a win, all around. I may even continue to make my own videos to track the material.

We're volunteers :) The cohort begins in three weeks. That means I have both the pattern system study group, and rhythm matrix study group to balance. And with that, no mean appreciation for the dedication of the students in the cohort. Forty weeks is a long time in a world of 60 second TikTok attention spans.

The DI on my PJB combo is permanently plugged into the DAW now. :meh:
