I plead no contest to all charges of color blindness. In any case I love it. My son has a Funko pop of Freddie Mercury.
Had a great jam tonight with my Max100 with the Celestion BN speaker swap and man did it deliver the goods. My buddy plays guitar and drums so I got to run it against both individually. Another buddy who used to play drums didn't make it that would have made a great night even more fun.
My friend is way above me skill wise so he let me just figure out my own lines and played around me on guitar some clean stuff some dirty stuff. Then he hopped on drums which he just bought a month ago to learn and that was much less technical but more fun. He can keep a groove going and was able to work out some fills together we hashed out a pretty hard grooving part. There was a get together going on in another part of the house and they asked why we stopped once we rejoined them, I'll take that to mean we didn't suck!

No news on the combo front down around my way. Still dreaming of upgrading the Orange Crush 25 to the 50. Now that I'm starting to get a bit of experience with my gear, and am starting to amass a reasonable number of practice hours, I've started dialling in my sound a bit better, and between my Darkglass Alpha Omega and my baby Orange, I'm starting to sound almost ok!
It seems that the baby Orange has more headroom than I expected. I've been having to run it nearly flat out to keep up with all the stage noise, but then I bumped up the volume a fair bit on the A/O, and the Orange just took it.

I haven't posted an update in awhile despite my intentions to do such. I put together the new Vox stack, which now contains a 300 watt 4 ohm Celestion speaker. It sounds great! Below is the new practice space, with combos clearly in view.
I'm pretty new in the amplified bass world. I've heard good things about yamaha b100-115se but I am concern if it would be too loud to play at low volume in my small living room. Searching adds on the used market, I have founded a Yamaha VX 55b with the parametric controls, just like the b100-115se. Any experience with this amp?

Mo, we have the same ongoing debate in the =1118826']Fender Rumble Club. Which is "better", the Rumble 200 (115) or the 500 (210). And, just like the Fender vs Ampeg debate itself, it always comes down to personal preference.
Unless you need the extra 250W power of the RB-210 over the 100W RB-115, then let your ears be your guide. Some hear a fuller, richer tone from the 15" than the 2x10"s, and some don't. Hear for yourself!

Personally I’d go with the 210 as 15” speakers tend to have less mid range response. The joke around here is that 8” is the new 10”. So I think you’ll find the 210 gives you ample booty shaking while still delivering crisp clear mods and highs. Also mathematically 210s will move more air than a single 15.

Entirely up to you. I go for a more 60s/traditional sound. 10s don't cut it for me. I prefer 12s or 15s. Plus the 200c was cheaper-like me-and lighter(not like me). My R40-and B25-have a 10(each)and are fine for what I use them for. I'm still waiting for the Rumble 212 cab.
