Entirely up to you. I go for a more 60s/traditional sound. 10s don't cut it for me. I prefer 12s or 15s. Plus the 200c was cheaper-like me-and lighter(not like me). My R40-and B25-have a 10(each)and are fine for what I use them for. I'm still waiting for the Rumble 212 cab.

No, you’re saying I need to get a Rumble 200. I’m quite sure of that. Now to find a deal on one. (Big fan of 15s for bass, though 12s are good, too.)

FYI-just sayin'. This is a new, lighter version. When they're actually available, I might look into selling/trading my 3 Rumbles(40, 100, 200c) for one of these. Fender Introduces Rumble 800 Combo Amp

Yeah, Goner, that "thunderous" Rumble 800 combo is really intriguing! It can switch from the usual 400 watts standalone to just 100 watts for smaller venues/practice. And the Neodymium speakers make it the lightest 'big' Rumble at just 29 lb.s! Hmmm ... it's giving me g.a.s.
.

I make frequent use of the mute switch on my Double Four. So nice when swapping instruments and when I forget to unplug or turn down the volume when the bass is in the rack and we are listening to a previously recorded song to learn it. And once when a young cat went careening off of it while she was full of the kitty crazies and tearing around the room!

Played Yeller, my Schecter 8-string bass through it while jamming yesterday. Had to turn down my amp because those thunderous 70 watts and two 4" speakers were just too much for a small apartment and acoustic guitar. Schlepping that 9 pound beast is easier than carrying a bass in a case.

The tuner pedal carries that duty here. Seems very few people use the Vox tuner. It's pretty sweet. I can read it without glasses

Just got my travel Combo. An Amazon Day special for $43. It will bring my solid body bass up to snuff with an acoustic guitar or two. JOYO, sound is okay for what its intended use. Pick on top for scale.

I found a 40 year old box at church this week (or last week, or something, but recently):



It's a Jade Hurricane 100. I've never heard of them, and from what I can glean, they were made in the 70s/80s. I can't find much out about it, other than that it was made in Melbourne.

I haven't played with it much yet. So far it sounds a bit muddy, and while it has more oomph on the B string, my baby Orange still has a nicer tone. But I need to play around with the EQ and whatnot. There might be nice tones in there still.

I don't know whether it has the Celestion upgrade or not, I haven't been able to check it that closely yet. It was stored under a table in the vestry of our brick and sandstone chapel. Apparently it was only taken off stage a year or so ago. Next week we're having a worship team jam, and I will be there early, so I'm looking forward to giving it a workout and seeing what it can do.
