The rhythm channel is quite clean and "chimey". The lead channel have a nice grit and smooth breakup.
I have been a performer for 53 years around Australia. The last ten years, I have toured Oz, New Zealand and Europe with The Lincolns. We are working on our 6th album.
I am also a sound engineer and music producer but this band keeps me too busy to do much of that these days.

An Ampeg Rocket 10 and an Ampeg Rocket 12 are just inside the door to a climate controlled room at Santa's Workshop. Had I a need right now, the Rocket 10 would be it for sure.
At festivals my rig is usually an Ampeg and 8x10 cab.
That photo was just before I got my Hofner.Yet that does not look like a Hofner in your hands.
That bass is a Profile Silhouette Japanese P bass. I installed a Graph Tech Ghost 18V preamp and acoustic bridge pickup to get the illusion of an upright bass tone. It has done about 5000 shows. But hasn't done any since I got my Hofner.
My own rig which I also take interstate is Phil Jones Bass cabs with Bugera Veyron BV1001T and NU-X Solid Sudio for a touch of vintage grit. Combine that with my Hofner 500/1 Greenline and I no longer suffer from GAS.
We chose to be Teddy Boys on stage. Our stage clothes are made by Colin Taub (London) - who did many of the stage clothes for musos and Teddy Boys in general. Half our songs are original. Half are from B-side singles of that era. We are working on our 6th album atm.
How does the C4 handle the Veyron's power? I have a Veyron MOSFET and am seriously considering getting a C4.
The C4 gets too loud but still clean when I turn the Veyron master past 10 o'clock

NAD. My newest GASquisition, a GR Bass AT Cube 500 combo. Loving it so far. Very flexible 4-band EQ. Deep, Bright and Mute switches. Multifunction LEDs (24 or thereabout). And a couple of cool features: 1) a 9 V, 300 mA pedal power outlet, and 2) its internal 12" custom driver is connected to one of the two female Neutrik speakON connectors via a 90° 1/4 TRS plug, allowing you to easily disconnect the internal speaker and drive two external 8-ohm cabs.
My Rumble Studio 40 is sized perfectly, allowing access to the 500's controls.
This review takes a minute or two to get going, but there's some really interesting info about the custom 12" driver and the AeroTech graphite cabinet material.

One thing I forgot to mention. The AT Cube 500 combo weighs all of 8.8 kg (19.4 lbs).

These carbon fiber amps are not suitable for Titanic dives.

Yowsa, Maarti! Those micro-weight GR ATs have caught my eye, too. A 19.4 lb. 500w 112, huh? Wow! But, I had a tough time finding a photo of the rear I/O panel shown in the manual, especially showing that 90 degree plug in the Speakon!
