Not a combo amp, but can anyone ID the Trace Elliot cab and Ampeg head in this unusual bass duet (Jazz and EUB)? The cab looks like a 4x8, or maybe even a 4x5. The EUB player's combo never gets into view enough for me to ID.
Gigged with a new combo this weekend, the newly released version "V" of the CMD 102P, for a really good price at GC of all places. Now Ive had a GK MB212 and MB112 for years and my goto's for combo gigs, but the 212 is a bit large and simply too much amp for many gigs, while the 112 to small and doesnt project well. In addition, for many small stages, both of these require to be put on amp stands in order for me to hear them well. Enter the Markbass, I find it an extreamly practical design. Its super lightweight with a low profile that fits well in tight spaces, and with the wedge shaped design i no longer need a stand. On this version all the controls are in the front, only thing on the back is the power cord. Tone wise it sounds great(my first Mark), very tight lows, mid forward and crisp tone. So far im very happy with it.

Congrats! The CMD 102P is the only MB combo that is front vented as opposed to all the others that are back ported.
I had the CMD 121P and could not get friends with it, due to this issue - it sounded different on every gig and not direct but sort of muffled most of the times.

Over 20 years ago I owned a Hartke Kickback 15 combo. Great sound, cuts through the mix quite well. I used it for our FOH gigs as a stage monitor, but with the 120 watts it often was a close call volume wise. In the end I went back to the bigger guns.
After many years gigging mainly bars and clubs with a PA at the most, I am back in a band that does bigger stages with a FOH. Last week I found myself asking the sound engineer to turn my bass signal on my monitor to 100% because I could hardly hear my backline sound on stage.
So after some thinking and knowing the new series Hartke Kickback combo's are 500 watts I bought a KB15 and immediately experimented with it in our practice room. And it did exactly what I hoped and expected. Combo volume down with the combo right in front of me and through the PA for the band. Could hear myself like never before and had a great sound! The band was happy also - our frontman even turned up the volume of the bass a bit!
After many years gigging mainly bars and clubs with a PA at the most, I am back in a band that does bigger stages with a FOH. Last week I found myself asking the sound engineer to turn my bass signal on my monitor to 100% because I could hardly hear my backline sound on stage.

Yes, please! As I am a big fan of combos I’d like a number.
Exactly, I’ve got three different stands myself. Just doesn’t work when the speaker is pointing at the back of your knees
