Make sure you have ToneX for Amplitube fired up when you do. That'll be a tone NO ONE has posted before!First sign of dementia is forgetting whether it’s water or glue! You’re right, Pup, water mixed with cornstarch is Oobleck ( I also spelled it wrong). Slime is when you add glue and I believe we were doing that due to the added density. It was watery because that’s why it slipped through into the amp. We may have added some glue to it as the Titanic was headed down, but I believe you were right.
I’m gonna try and stick my Shure Beta 52A mic in front of it some lazy afternoon to see if I can get something worthy of posting. I might even do a comparison with the R40 since they’re pretty close, specs-wise. Could be interesting.

I learned to use a slide rule in high school! But I've seen abacus experts blow my mind with the advanced things they can do with those things!!! I don't know how they do it. Seems like a lot more mental work than modern math, to me.

That's a fact, Jack! My first job out of college was Asst. Crew Chief on the Neutrino Beam Line at Fermilab in Batavia, IL. There were particle physicists from all over the word, including mainland China. The Chinese guys would sit in the lobby cafeteria in the High Rise main building with their paper, pencils and an abacus and work out complex physics equations. The guy with the abacus was so fast, I'd swear that the beads would catch on fire from the friction.I learned to use a slide rule in high school! One other time I saw them with the abacus was at a local Eagles Discount Foods store. I decided to follow them around. Sure enough, for every single item they bought, they calculated the lowest cost per quantity and bought the cheapest. That is, until they got to the last aisle with the frozen orange juice. No calculations there. They immediately went for the Minute Maid. That must have been their western imperialistic treat.
Slide rules! I had a really nice one with a leather pouch with a belt loop. Amazing instrument. Don't miss it a bit.

Check the exchange rates before you convert next time. I was able to buy a ton of Vernors when I converted to Australian dollarydoos.
