"with a very mixed crowd" like punk rockers at a polka party. So there's the R40 holding down the bottom end. What's that "instrument" called they use up in the Poconos on a swinging Saturday night? You may have seen them, they look like a pogo stick with a cymbal and tambourine and cowbell. Bounce it in time to make the cymbals go as you "play" the other options. I didn't make this up ....

And how is it when I look at pictures of the original Woodstock I don't see any piercings or tattoos?

Kid, I want you to go and sit down on that bench that says Group W ... NOW kid!!

When I was in a band in Miami, playing a hotel lounge, the drinking age was 18. We had to appeal to everyone from 18 to 80+. That meant everything from "NY, NY" to the currentest 'disco' songs and all stops in between.

Ah, yes. Good ol' Local 655. I held onto my card 'til I got outta the music biz in '83. Went and played full time truck driver/part time bass player for the next 23 years.

Congrats, GP! Keep on rockin' and making us proud. BTW, we're you jammed, space-wise, at the restaurant, or was there still room to breath? Are we talking small stage or did they give ya a corner or something? Regardless, I'm sure the Rumble sounded just fine.

M, not that I don't agree with you, but you're beginning to sound a lot like the gang over at the GOF Club. You should think about joining if you haven't. This post will surely do it!

Grumpy Old F**ts. It started as an amp tech club and evolved into a really not so grumpy fellowship of mostly old guys only occasionally grumping about the good old days gone by. Oh, and lots of military veterans reliving the good and bad old days. Approach at your own risk. :)

Here is my Hartke KB15. I replaced the speaker with an Eminence Legend and it rocks! I've played it on the biggest of gigs and have heard myself no problem.

We had a10', maybe 12', space along a wall. Perfect for a duo. We're a trio, including drum kit. We're back there next month, I'll try to get a pic or two. It was less than this.
