Please do, Doc, I'd like to hear it. I should do so as well. I'm telling ya, man, this hollow body is all I can think about, except when I have to take out the garbage. I think about that then. The tone is bewitching, the ease of play is bewildering. These Labellas are some of the best flatwounds I've ever laid my fingers on, and I've used those strings before. It's an enchanted setup I'm telling ya! Now I need to find the glass slipper to Cinderella's dainty foot and I know it's out there.
Beautiful scenery. Was this taken outside Schenectady?![]()

Riggwelter is nice tooBlack sheep, brewed in Masham, North Yorkshire.
Lovely stuff.
I played through one MB and was thoroughly unimpressed, esp. for that kinda $. Out of consideration for the owner-I was sitting in-I didn't fool with his settings. I'm certain(?)I coulda gotten a decent sound out of it if I'd had the time to mess with it. But for the price I could get 2 Rumble 100's and daisy chain them when needed or use one at a time otherwise. Plus, fully admitting I'm shallow, I don't like the look of the MB(sorry).
Choosing a mate based on shoe size often backfires.
I lately have been going back to the Ampeg from either, Markbass, or Fender. I need to break the habit. About the only amp related item I'm going to do in the future, is replace the Markbass NY121 cab I returned to help fund the 500/1 Hofner '64 Violin. I have to hang on to this Combo!
The Hofner really set me back a bit. (A LOT!) But it was worth it. For me, it's the smoothest bass I've played in a long time. It's been for real 50 years, that I had a Violin Bass I love as much as this "Electric Lady".

Riggwelter is nice too
Correct. I have a small flock of twelve basses and two combo's and looking after them is thirsty work. lolzee, try to stay on topic, please. We're discussing combo amp brands right now, not sheep and dogs. You must be a herder or something. We love ya anyway, keep posting!
Had these come out sooner, I'da prolly been interested. I'm happy with my rig(s) but I'd like to hear a coupla these-in person. Then there's the other factor-mufunzalo.You should all come to the dark side!

"First I look at the purse"-J.Geils BandYeah, I'm one-for-three using that myself. Better off using birth weight and height to create a lasting relationship. I'll remember that in my next life.
The tone in my head came from a 66 Gibson EB-3>63 7ender blonde piggyback Bassman(50[?]W>2x12 cab). Can't afford to replace piece for piece but some day I'll 'hear' it again. or not!So as I hinted in my reply to bhendrix, this morning #2 ordered what I had casually left in my Amazon cart for my b'day. As soon as she rolls in (Wednesday, I believe) I'll snap a shot with its new stablemate, the Rogue bass. I think they'll get along famously, but I also said that about a hundred other amps over the years. Whom I kidding, I've always been a gear hound and love it. Like everyone else here in this forum I'm looking for the tone in my head and kinda hope I never truly find it. For me, the enjoyment is in the hunt!
Next up, isolation foam to tighten up the Rumbler a bit as well as the mystery amp. Yessir, I am officially on vacation!
I'm partial to a Guinness "bold and bittersweet"Correct. I have a small flock of twelve basses and two combo's and looking after them is thirsty work. lol
