Oh, but yeah, it is! They's, fo sho, Rumblin' in this here Club, now!

R-U-M-B-L-E, and that rhymes with P and that stands for POOL, right here in TalkBass City!

Whoa! Who hit the teleporter? NYC to Iowa, in the blink of an eye!!!

Is that M on the right? Taller than I imagined...

Welcome everyone, the weekend is here! Congrats on surviving it, whether you put in a hard 40-60 hrs or a relaxed week putzing around playing bass.

Our first back was a surprisingly good one, meaning the kids shed the vacation laziness and got back to it. About 20 weeks til summer and we’ve got a lot to do to get them ready for middle school. I’m feeling good though.

Big news in the farm country! All my late Christmas gifts showed up yeastersay and today...and I’m pleased.

I’m now the proud owner of the nifty Fender Yuletide 10’ cable. Yeah, it’s crazy but the cable looks good. Also, I picked up their micro bullet tuner. Probably not any more accurate than any other under $20 tuner, but it’s kinda cool. Smallest headstock tuner I’ve ever owned.

The little red breadbox showed up yesterday along with a set of LaBella flatwounds. Whew, it is a cutie! Built like a brick house too. I’ll snap a shot this weekend. I’m actually excited about finding a good spot for it in my room to sound best by. When time permits, I’ll even try to make a quick recording for anyone who wants to hear it.

I’m looking at three assessments and lesson plans, plus up to 10” of snow in the driveway, but I’m going to try to find a little bass time.

Anyone playing out? Best wishes to one and all in case you are.

I have yet to do my Forrest impression for our Project Manager, Jenny!
I doubt that I'll ever be that brave. How did that go, Morrighan?

Runs, ducks, covers.

You don't have to do the whole impression right off the bat! Start by simply referring to her as, "Jen-na-ay". Remember, that's 3 syllables, not just 2.

Never heard of the Fender Yuletide cable or Micro Bullet tuner. Had to look them up, and now I'm glad I did! They both look pretty nice. I think I may need to pick up that tuner. I'm a sucker for mini-tuners.

But I'm really excited about that breadbox! (Is it smaller than a bread box?) I am so looking forward to what you think of it. I dread the idea that you'll define it as thin and useless sounding. And yes, I'd very much like to hear a recording.

Ice storms forecast for this weekend, so I'm playing in.

Oh, don't worry, I've got it. :wacky: I just have to make sure she finds it amusing rather than irritating.

To be fair, we get along great, and she's got a pretty good sense of humor. Makes my work day go smoother to have her running the Project Management while I run the Project Engineering. Of course, our company recently announced huge changes in the structure, so we have no idea if we'll be working together by the end of 2020.
:(

I do hope you continue to get along great with your co-workers and bosses Rod and your career remains secure in this day and age.

RR, how are ya? The tuner is neato-keeno and quite diminutive. Pretty bright readout too. Haven’t stick it on to try it, but my gut says it’s adequate for the amount spent.

While I’m excited about the BG-75, I’m not going into it naive. A Rumble it will not be, but I like different tones for different occasions. Other than the two VOX and Stage 800 and Rumble 100 pairs, all my combos have their own unique voice.

So I’m fine either way with the PJB and actually hope it has a clean, modern tone. I can use that with the new, deeper LaBellas and add my Zoom B1N if the need to darken what I’m hearing is requested.

Be careful on the road with the ice. We’re supposed to see some too before it turns into crystals.
