Agreed. And I still kick myself in the keester for selling my 2 '63 piggyback Bassmans.Our bass is an expression of ourselves. I love my Hofners, and especially the hollow bodies. It is the tone I was chasing for years. Amps are part of that tone. Got to put the pieces together like a good sandwich!
Yeah, they were only 40-50W, but dayum, did they sound good. I'm close to that tone(as I vaguely remember it)with my Rumbles[40, 100, 200c],which are a whole lot easier to schlep. And that's a major concern these days.My 67 NR TBird>63 Bassman was exactly the sound I wanted to put forth.
