But, after the third such treatment, I do believe it's now cleaner than any other place on earth! You shall be havink most glorious workplace ever, now!

Wow, by looking at you, 007, I’d say the office was a tad dirtier than you had told me last week, but that’s okay. Much appreciation! When we’re finally able to open up I hope that everyone from nine to ninety-nine can stop by to offer donations for all the hand sanitizer you must’ve purchased!
Correction, Lovey, I was very busy! I just had my first truly lazy Sunday in many, many years and it was bittersweet, at best. Listening to my pastor's live sermon via FB was uplifting, but I deeply missed the music and the fellowship. Sharing comments on FB is heartening, but not nearly the same as actually gathering together. (sigh) Can't wait to get back to more normal life.
I'm sure we can all agree that this can be a useful practice/setup/cleanup time. But nothing beats the feeling of making good live music for an appreciative audience!

My Micromark combo doesn't fit the space were before there was a big but not lower combo...

Ye have quite the rig, me lady! I saw that someone has the Elf head and 110 cab for a combo-price a little over five bills. There's no ten currently in the stable and that might be a fun diversion to being stuck at home. Anyone in the mood for a little TE?

Did seriously consider the Elf + 110. When the stork brought the Elf, the PJB C4 cab was with me (as was the BA-108v2), and the BG-400 was in another country (owing to a long line of falling dominoes of life). It made perfect sense (to me) to run the C4 with the Elf while the game of rig red rover played out.
And pretty happy with how well the Elf and PJB cab got along, decided on the Cab 27 over the TE 110. And it was a close one, as the portability of the Elf rig is quite a siren's call. Lashed myself to the mast and. No, I didn't, that's some dumb book we had to read. Like the transparency of the Phil Jones, curious about the Cab 27, and there ye be. Likely another Cab 27 is in the works, just for completion's sake. To hear field reports, a pair of Cab 27s handle themselves quite well live.

Last fall, when the wife and I made a trip down from Michigan to Indianapolis, besides stopping at Sweetwater on the way down, we made it to the Slippery Noodle, a really cool old blues bar in downtown Indy. There was a trio playing that night: Guitar, harmonica, and bass. All were amplified but quiet enough to where you could still talk. The bass player, who was the son of the guitar player, had a TE ELF 200W Head and a TE ELF 1x10 300W Cab. It sounded really good. I am not sure how well it would hold up in a loud band, but it worked well in the scenario.

The TE Elf - 1x10 rig is half the weight of the Phil Jones BG-400 combo. Which is sort-of what I had in mind, and missed with the Cab 27. A Trace cab is pretty trick, and I'm running out of room to put gear

Hmm, the ham sandwich I left in the breakroom tasted like Lysol this morning. I should have read the "extensive cleaning" poster you taped to the fridge. My tongue started to feel normal after a couple hours, so that's good.
As far as Danelectro Longhorns, I found them to be pretty comfortable and light. I like the shape and the (for most of them) short scale length, but I could not get over the cheap body construction. Opinions vary, but that's mine. For a lefty, it seems like it would be a pretty good bass to have just in case.

Odin hangs out with me. If the cat cares he never mentioned it.
The PJB BG-400 with gain and master at noon shakes things. And it is true the thing weighs close to 40 pounds, and also true it is small. It's as wide as, and as deep as, and shorter than an Ampeg BA108v2. Except, just going to say it's my first line amp. It'd do just fine for almost anything I'm likely to see soon, even without the extension cab. It'll do far more than fine.
The BA108v2 Plus (plus the Eminence Alpha 8a swap) would be right at home at any pleasant (read: sane) acoustic guitar arrangement.
In the understanding it's not a combo (but available now as a combo) the Elf might shoehorn in between the two. Funny thing about that Elf, though, reports are pretty rave about what an Elf does with an 810.
Thanks for the quick review, RR. I watched a video on it and while entertaining to watch, it didn’t ring a bell for me. The tone some commented on that the Longhorn best resembles is the Hofner violin bass. This ended my interest for in the Danelectro.
Those darn Hofners cost too much for my blood to add to the flock, but the P-bass is still on my short list.
Hey GP, at our Davenport GC has an Epi T-bird for $399 that was labeled in great condition. The picture looked nice from what I could see. What do ya think about flipping it for a lefty? It’d put the three controls in my armpit, but suffering for one’s craft can be a badge of honor (or lunacy).
Try it. If ya like it, cool; if ya don't you can flip it and not lose anything.
Well, except four-hundred bucks if I’m stuck with it. Do you know what those humbuckers are in the Epiphone? I’ve owned Epis before and their “classic” pickups were nothing to me but a muddy mess. Never heard their cass before though. I may do some researching. That neck does look sweet!
I'm pretty sure you could sell it for what you'd have in it right here on TB, esp. in Thunderbird Club. I'm not any kind of fountain of knowledge re Epi's. My one and(currently)only 'Bird is a Gibby. The Epi 5er I had came with a P/J pup setup. I could never get the sound(s) I wanted out of it and I didn't like the neck contour-not the same as my 67.
From what I've been able to glean on/in TBird Club is that the pups on the Vintage Pro are "better" than the ones on the Classic Pro. If I was gonna seriously look at one, I'd tell the sales person I'm gonna need about 20-30 minutes with this thing into an amp like I have(obviously not the Kasino-I may have the only one extant)whether a 'Peg, Rumble, VOX, whatever, so I could fool with the available tones and see if it was gonna fit my needs. From what I understand, GC has a pretty good return policy although restringing it lefty might kinda shoot that.
One more thing(Columbo). I use mine for all kinds of genres and don't try for the 'typical' klank generally associated with 'Birds. I think almost any bass can sound the way you want it to with judicious use of EQ, both onboard and at the amp.
