Yep, still got the Foxy Voxy. Speaker has broken in nicely too. It’s a great little combo and all I was gonna get was a measly $107 for trade-in. It’s tone alone is worth that much.

Oh, the days before Corona Virus. I still remember it as a 70s Toyota and then a beer. Sounds like a plan, RR!

Sorry GP, I had to call for a clubhouse evacuation so we could do a thorough cleaning. You know there’s a virus out there, don’t ya? We’re disinfecting everything in sight and hopefully can open back back up soon.

Until then, I suggest we continue communicating through our favorite forum, TalkBass. We can easily move our “Why on Earth Would You Use Roundwounds on a P-bass?” Symposium over there, right?

On a more musical note, I found a lefty Danelectro Longhorn tonight in their Dealzone. Anyone ever played one before, and if you did, what was it like? It’s so ugly it’s kinda cute, and the answer is no, I’m not buying it.

Well, as far as combos go, I always keep an Ampeg B100r “Rocketbass” around. I’m on my 3rd one. I’ve given two away to my son who has toured the whole US with one.
I think they are great sounding amps, and pretty loud for their size. One 15” speaker is perfect for small gigs and they look pretty cool. They can totally keep up with a drum kit and a hard hitting drummer. My amp of choice is a B-15, but sometimes it just doesn’t quite have the volume.

I like em too. That's a Squier VM Cabronita I picked up off CL last year for $120. Liked it so much I put a $140 TV Jones p/up in it!

Soulman, for every person who’s worked hard throughout their life and is enjoying good health (hopefully), enough to live on with a little comfort, and fewer worries than when you were 40, I Salute Ya!

Two years and a little over two months to go, but with everything being thrown at us in public education right now, I hope I make it! Now this stupid virus which may begin affecting our schedule any day now.

So you go ahead, SR, and have your fun. I smile when I read it. But I’m two years I want my turn to tell done working stuff, “What grind!”

Anyone know of a forum where bass combo amps are regularly discussed? I seem to have wandered into this mis-titled area where people in general talk about things in general, like it's their private living room... (maybe check out the "Send Private Message" function on this forum so you don't monopolize a forum with a specific topic with your endlessly boring private conversations!).
I know -- I'm SUCH an a-hole. But you're not out of line at all.....

Sunday clocked about 8 hours of group rehearsals and 3 church services, which has been "the usual" this year since the MD resigned and has not yet been replaced. To tell you the truth, the suspension of church services as of Monday has been a welcome respite to this ol' bird! 0 minutes since Sunday. (whew!) Suspension of my usual jams, though, not so welcome. (grrr!)

Was hoping to get some playtime with the new Rumble Studio 40 firmware & app updates today. But chores & errands preempted that, though I did get the updates downloaded and installed. Hopefully tomorrow I can play with the new effects.

Oy! Am hopink ve haf now cleaned to your satisfaction, Your Excellency. I must admit I had my doubts about the real necessity of floodink your office with hand sanitizer, sir. Correction, Lovey, I was very busy! I just had my first truly lazy Sunday in many, many years and it was bittersweet, at best. Listening to my pastor's live sermon via FB was uplifting, but I deeply missed the music and the fellowship. Sharing comments on FB is heartening, but not nearly the same as actually gathering together. (sigh) Can't wait to get back to more normal life.

I'm sure we can all agree that this can be a useful practice/setup/cleanup time. But nothing beats the feeling of making good live music for an appreciative audience!
