And, might I add, he could do a Reverb search for a minty used Rumble 500 or 200. That would give him enough power to light up his 410 and not dig too deep into the wallet.

Personally, I love new but have carefully purchased new in the past and came away quite happy. Something to think about.

The only stuff I purchase used is from places with good return policies. My R100 was a demo- not a mark on it. My R112cab was a return-no marks and had a custom cover. And my JBL EON One PA was a floor model-again, no problems- 'cept I don't get to use any of this[stuff]any more.

My 410 is an 8 ohm cab, so that would work. I've already got a head (up to 700 W combined) so I don't need a big unit. Looking for something that sits in the range between a Double 4 and a stack.

Yeah, the new(er) MAX's are lighter and have decent power and the angled speaker baffle.
I'm happy with my Rumbles, plus some of the reviews of the new MAX's are......less than stellar.

Try to find one that doesn’t vibrate on an open E note. That seems to be what I read a lot. Great ideas, poor build-quality.

On the other hand, you’d focus all a favor by purchasing one because we wanna know more about the line. In other words, do it for us, RR!

My dad was a train enthusiast too and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in California. I learned at a young age all the different types of cars and can still point out a gondola at first sight!

Plus, I enjoy playing that song too.
