Classic scary tale! G'dog, make a note that anytime we need a dysentery piece to keep things around here light and lively, to request to Morrighan something from lands far away. Thank you, sir!

Taking a guess dysentery + air raid siren together is worser.

Define "suitable!"

I'll never forget, I was a teen walking into our local Eagles market and seeing the yellow-colored cans, bottles, and plastic wraps covering all the generic products. And then a year or so later store-brand stuff began to show up like Lady Lee products. I chose those because there was at least a picture on the label of some corn, not just the word, CORN.

"It works perfectly" is the executive summary for the Phil Jones BG-400 DI -> DAW.

For anyone who has ever leafed beyond the first few words, right now it feels like a lot of cables. Next round that's going to be cleaned up a bit. The ProSonus USB 96 is my headphone monitor that I may hear the metronome from the smrtphne app.

Knob twiddling on the DAW wasn't bad. Now that I've found settings that work, they're not going to get changed any time soon. The test video either got ruined or made perfect by a certain standard poodle.

Drat...foiled by the Standard Poodle, or was it?

I spent a large chunk of the afternoon putting together loops of two acoustic guitars, drums, a banjo, and my bass. 90 seconds to hear and seemingly an eternity to make...

It wasn’t bad, overall, but I still need to figure out how to be able to tweak the bass on the board. Right now I have volume figured out but I want more adjustments.

Someone tell me this all worth it. My last relaxing Sunday and I played a total of one song. Fun little tune though that I concocted.

Well, time to go to the day job. See what y’all came up with your Monday tonight!

Never in all my years would I have believed the pursuit of music also requires production skills.

The little DAW really works well. Likely I'll be experimenting with these two amps for a good while. The PJB combo is pristine from its DI. I expect the Elf will add that whole extra undefinable dimension we call rock 'n roll.

Seriously, what was I thinking? The PJB rig will cover every gig I can presently imagine. But it kind of makes sense ... with the BG-400 in one country and the PJB C4 with me, and no immediate resolution, the Elf was tasty sauce. Once I reunited with the BG-400, the Elf was in want of its own cabs. Well, cab. The second PJB Cab 27 was simply a matter of opportunity on a two day sale. Cinch.

Over yonder on a related thread folks are talking about how few watts they can gig with. My original answer is 100, because I did gig with that. Here in the exciting future, that 200 watt Elf and pair of Cab 27s are likely enough to cover any gig I can presently imagine. Blessed, I am.

What's the goal? Professional aspiration or personal satisfaction? Professional gain makes it worth all the time you can invest. Personal satisfaction? Can be same unless others close to you are missing your attention or interferes with the "honey do". I'll only invest so much time into an endeavor that is frustrating the hell out of me before I just have to step back and reconsider...

So you tell us o fearless one... is it worth it? ;)
