Hi all... glad to see people doing fairly well (for the most part) and recovering (or on that road).

Nothing much to report, except that the Peavey combo still sounds good , I finally got some music online that I'm actually happy with, and, my boss is kinda terrible.

Here's my GK MB 212 strategically placed at the foot of my bed so I can feel every note when I practice. And yes: plenty power for gigs. At 40 pounds, it makes things easy. Sure - I'll take a number! View attachment 4004092

Ive been gigging with mine regularly for 4-5 years now....no issues, still a great amp.

It really is. I don't think I've ever turned it up past 2 o'clock and it's beastly.

Yea, Ive never had to push it past 40% of what it's capable of, and i have used it at larger outdoor shows. I wouldn't be in a band that loud anyway

The other day I was playing with my "new" MB150E-112 and my Samick P-bass "Shorty" with Pyramid Gold flats on it. I noticed that strings E and A were not as loud as strings D and G. Hm.

Wednesday, for my birthday reward, I plugged the same bass into my Double Four. Every string was even and clean. Hm.

More testing to come. But ??

That is a bit weird - but at least you've eliminated pickup height!

Healing continues, and grateful for all that supports healing

That I used my Phil Jones BG-400 to record again Sunday is in part economy of motion. It's the shortest possible distance to the DAW possible, and the cable to connect the two was out, ready, and in reach. Setting up the rest was a chore as I'm not to put any weight on my foot at all. Got 'er done, wasn't pretty, but more or less fine. That I'm back in the saddle with the bass is more important than a pocket recording

I bought the practice chair I use after the bilateral knee replacements. Probably my most-used piece of equipment! From the seat, I can easily reach all three amps. With a metronome app on the music stand in front of me, it's clear sailing.

Funny, I actually turned the p-up screws a quarter turn down on the DG pup. So didn't really eliminate it until I go back to the GK amp.

Probably have more to report tomorrow. Expected to go to my mom's place today and bring back some more treasures from what used to be my room. No where to put the stuff, and little time to sort it.
