You got it, JPD. Maybe one my top three Traffic cuts, Freedom Rider. Excellent piece to work those fingers, courtesy of S. Winwood on the four-stringer.

b, the Santa Monica concert was one the first YT videos I watched and it’s excellent. Stevie was so baked, his pupils were like poker chips! Great music though.

AFAIK it's Navy talk, like a WAG but, y'know, with some science.
Military in general, taken to mean a semi-educated guess in the barest sense. We used it often on the rifle range for wind calls.

Sorry no review really. I tried it out a bit and then put it in storage until I have earned it. I've bought myself too many presents lately.
I do have some first impressions. The tone is not as good as my Pathfinder and MV50CL hybrid. Nonetheless it will work for bi-amping and I can use the cab with my hybrid Vox for smallish things.

Respectfully, I’m not putting much into your too-early review for three reasons: 1) by the looks, it’s brand new and the speaker hasn’t broken in yet, 2) you haven’t had enough me-time to really listen with your superb ear to learn its nuances, and 3) your obsessive guilt about spending too much has your thinking with a more negative vibe.
#3 is legit. I just bought a pair of incredible JBL studio monitors and instead of doing my usual pay-over-four-months plan, I paid in full! Talk about your guilt...

How does one break in a speaker? I've heard you and others mention this, but I don't know much about it really. Any advice is welcome.
I broke in this Foxy Voxy's speaker by practicing with it as much and as often as I could to get it ready for public performance in a short time. I've heard of others running continuous music programs, or even "pink" or other(?) noises, through them. I'd rather do it myself and hear the tone improve during my use. It was relatively slow, I thought, but a dramatic change over a few weeks.

Thanks for the debate interruption, it’s driving me nuts. My Canadian friend, there will be those who who say I’m crazy, but as a former home audio salesman, my ears can tell the newness of a speaker because it lacks the punch, warmth, and upper frequency response.
At some point, all speakers break in, but you can accelerate it by running music at a healthy volume for a few days, and of course, play a lot of bass!
I actually thought both Vox amps I own already had a warm tone out of the box, but have owned combos that were as dry as dust brand new, but after steady playing they warm up nicely.
You’re a Vox/Hofner guy, Doc. Rock with pride!
I approve of this message, fondly remember Dog’s post where at first the lack of bass disappointed him, but after continued playing the amp’s speaker warmed up to a nice, tubey tone. In fact, Dog’s and KBD’s words influenced me into buying the combo. Thanks, boys!
