Talking about the BG-400 results in turning mine on again, you know, for science.

I happened into mine by good fortune and good timing, and in complete certainty a big Rumble would absolutely serve my every need, bought the PJB anyway. To me, there is something so astonishing about so much of my bass roaring out of such a wee thing .... :wacky:

Whether or not a BG-400 and C4 qualifies as a mini rig of doom is a different discussion. Probably for some it may qualify as a one-handed carry, but I'm not among those. Yes to a one-trip carry with something wheeled. The surprise is when a band mate who's never seen a BG-400 offers to help. That's a lot of mass in a small space!

Compared to the days of the improbably heavy and unwieldy Peavey, it's a bantam weight rig. ;)

Don't get the 8" model. I had a rumble 25, dumped it. I got a Ampeg BA110V3 40w 10". Granted all I use it for is practice, I actually did use one at a gig. Small acoustic joint, no drummer. Actually worked well.

Well, as much as I’ve been enjoying rattling the house with my bass, I’m afraid I’ll have to lay off the groove for at least a solid month starting October 22nd... I saw my primary care doc for some thumb joint pain on my right hand a couple weeks ago. Saw the specialist and got some xrays yesterday. Turns out I’ve got a couple of bone chips and a detached ligament at the base of my thumb. They’re going to pull my thumb back into place, pin it, and attach a new ligament from my wrist.

If so inclined, I’d appreciate prayers, offerings to the gods of Bass, or whatever...

I will intercede with the gods of Bass on your behalf by pouring out some bourbon and wishing you speedy and complete recovery! (Of course, I will also catch the poured out bourbon. :roflmao:)
