Just curious if this combo of combos is a combo?

It is my latest project. It has three amps and is only roughed in at this point. I am using the VX50BA for treble and the Pathfinder- MV50CL hybrid, running into the old Peavey Max combo as a bass cabinet, for the bass tone. The MV50AC with be used to run guitar type tones. I am trying to do some Mike Kerr type of stuff for a new project. Should be fun!

Granting that I'm an olde phart, I've never understood rehearsing in the garage at stadium levels.

Speak up, I can't hear ya.

Let me put it to you this way. You're 21 yrs old, play the drums rather loudly because you're trying to keep up with the county's loudest guitar player...yeah, it's stadium levels in a practice room. Also, it was one of the best times in my life!

Oh wow, I cranked the volume but left gain around 9 o'clock. For the scoop the bass and treble were like 3-4 and midi brought back to about 10:30. Then I did some mid forward. Rolled off treble to about 10 and bumped bass and mids to 2ish.

Give it the Ampeg gain structure recommendation sometime. Run your master to 3:00 and bolt it down. Use your gain for your listening volume and have at it. Do you hear any difference? I find it fuller-sounding with a lot more kick behind those notes.

Ah, and while marketing may be a boon for some of you.....I was a Highway Design Coordinator (in charge of implementing State and Fed design standards for highway safety - for a Big left coast state....our engineering department was often referred to as the biggest engineering entity in the world)...well at my level, I got to work with Higher-Ups that either were or wanted to be politicians. When development $ start entering the picture, safety standards sometimes seemed to be in the way. Very frustrating. After I retired, early, one of my fellow coordinators threw in the towel when politicians went over his head to the Director and Feds.....

I'll bet ya miss it...like toe fungus.

Uh, ... well, ... I'm really very sorry to hear that, sir. At least I hope they died doing what they enjoyed. I think that's very important, don't you, sir? I think over exerting in celebration could be a kinda poetic way to go, if it was their choice.

But, on the other hand, sir, do you recall anyone, possibly, making excessive demands of either of the deceased? I don’t know, like, maybe, asking the lady to dance too much, or perhaps your band's bass player playing excessively funky bass lines! I hear that can make people dance a lot, ya know? Or was there anyone, maybe, ordering more pastries from the chef? Just curious, sir.
